Later that night when I came home, Lexi was waiting for me on the living room sofa. I walked over and sat directly in front of her. "Hey," she said. "Hey," I said. "Um, what happened to you, I had to cover for you," she asked worriedly. "Sorry, I was out" not saying much. "Really?" she asked suspiciously. "Yes, can we leave it at that," I asked a bit frustrated. She looked at me a bit longer and then said softly, "You were with him." I looked at her for a while before finally giving in. "So what if I was," I said with an attitude. Lexi stood up and said a bit surprised, "'So what?' Megs come on, this is not you." I stood up now, getting irritated, "What do you mean, 'This is not you?'" She shook her head, "Um, I don't know, skipping class, lying to me, and hanging out with him." I couldn't believe we were having this fight again. It was really getting annoying. "Maybe that's the problem, you don't know me. And for a guy who I met a couple days ago, he seems to be doing a lot better than you." I said before walking away.
