By the time I got home, the only thing that stayed in my head was that book. I ran up the stairs and straight to my bedroom. I tossed my bag at the side of the door and leaped towards my desk. The book laid there untouched, waiting for me to open it. It was still dusty and I could smell the mildew coming off of it. I hesitated before opening the book, thinking about what I was getting into.

The book started off as describing and explaining the anatomy and physiology of a wolf. It went heavily into the speed, vision, and bone structure of the wolf. Then the book leads to the legend of the wolf and the werewolf. Apparently, a man who lived in this town sought out a wolf and had the intentions of killing it because he needed a safe place for his recovering father. While fighting the wolf, the man was bitten and the wolf ran off. His sister saw the bite and began putting all the herbs and medicine she had left onto the wound and gave the man a liquid potion to drink. It was said to be a full moon that night as that the man woke up the next morning to be healed and felt more energized than ever. As the next full moon approached, he began to feel a change in his body. His eyes would change into a light yellow, he would have sweltering body temperatures, and long nails, almost claw-like and fur. When the second full moon approached he turned into an animal similar to a wolf, but much smaller. He would soon be described as a werewolf, a descendant of a wolf. It has been said that the man still lives to this day.
