"Goddamnit."
Why couldn't I think clearly?
Just forget Lance, find a way out. Forget Lance, find a way out.
Why couldn't I just do that?!
Why do I all of a sudden care about him so much?!
It's not like we've ever been extremely nice to each other.. I mean...
Damnit.
These prison clothes actually make me want to kill myself.
"You're some of the lucky ones," I heard from beside me.
"Oh?"
"I don't think they quite killed your family, beat you 'till you coughed up blood, and let you rot in a cell that smells like death for what at least felt like eight years."
The voice sounded familiar.
Almost like Pidge's, but a couple octaves lower.
"What's your name..?"
"Matt," he answered. "Matthew Holt. And you?"
"Keith Kogane. Red paladin of Voltron," I answered. "Would you.. happen to be related to Pidge-- er.. Katie Holt?" I asked, wincing.
"Yes! Why? Is she not.. dead...?" He asked, jumping up and gripping the barred window with his hands.
"No.. why would you think she was dead?" I asked.
"It was an illusion.." he mumbled to himself. "I need to get to my sister! Now! How-- how do I--"
"Matt. Listen to me. There's only one way to get back to your sister. I need your help to get both of us out of here, grab Lance, and get to the red and blue lions. Do you have any ideas on how to do that?" I asked slowly.
He sighed. "No. If I did, don't you think I would've left a long time ago?" He hit his head against the bars.
"Well, you didn't have me before," I said, looking around the cell. Nothing. There was nothing. Nothing I could use to--
Chains.
Okay.
I felt around the bars for a loose one.
"Try the other side."
I glanced at him. He shrugged. "That was Shiro's cell. I suppose there had to be something wrong with it," he rested his chin on his hand.
"Thanks," I smiled slightly, going to the other side and feeling around, and I found a loose bar.
"Keith! Someone's coming!" He whisper-shouted. I ran to the back corner of the cell and sat down.
There's still hope.
Lance
"Your clothes are in there."
"Clothes?" I asked incredulously.
"Yes. You really thought you were going to see the prince in that drab prison outfit?" She giggled. "Just go on."
"There aren't.. like... cameras.. or anything, are there?" I asked skeptically.
She sighed. "Look. Even if there were, you don't really have a choice here, buddy. Sorry. Like I said, Prince Lotor's orders."
"Fine.. can you at least tell me what he wants with me?"
"I have no clue, Blue," she patted my head. "Although, you are pretty cute.. if I were the ruler of a giant empire, I would want you too. Although, you are supposedly the 'enemy'. So, I really don't know."
"Why do you keep calling me 'Blue'?"
"Lotor's orders."
"Of course," I rolled my eyes. "I can't wait to meet this guy."
"Hurry up and change, paladin. My guess is you have a long day ahead of you," she grinned before turning and walking down the hallway.
I groaned before walking into the room.
And holy shit.
It looked almost as if it were made for me..?
There were posers with space stuff and Star Wars, the walls were almost the exact same blue as my room back home, and it was just absolutely amazing. There was a window where I could see outside of the ship, and it was perfect.
I didn't understand.
There were clothes on the bed, and I walked over and picked them up. A blue sweatshirt, jeans, and white sneakers.
This was not Galra stuff.
Did that mean they'd been to Earth..?
