Chapter 12

"Carter you can't go anywhere by yourself anymore. It's not safe." Calum's still enraged from the scene before.

"But not facing the problem makes things worse." I stop infront of him so he looks into my eyes.

"Then what are we going to do? Let the fuck up of a father and ex boyfriend have you?"

"I guess so." I drop my head, eyes paying attention to my feet that are moving nervously.

"That's not happening." He lifted up my chin so my plain eyes stared into his beautiful ones. "No one is going to hurt you." He takes my hand in his and leads me back to first period before the bell rings

"Red or blue?"

"Blue" I giggle

"Sex or death?"

"Death"

"Eh!" He takes my answer in shock

"What? I don't need sex." I shrug my shoulders and laugh at his reaction.

We were playing 20 questions like we always do on the drive back home from school. Turning up the tunes Calum and I joined in with the radio.

"We are never ever ever getting back together weeeeee!" I couldn't help but burst into laughter listening to Calum's attempt to hit a high not on the we part.

"Don't laugh at me. I'm trying." He pouts and pokes his lip out in a cute way.

"Don't pout. I'm sorry." I push back in his lip earning a small chuckle from him.

"What do you want to eat tonight?"

"Pizza!" I scream in excitement.

"Sounds like a plan." He looks over and winks at me parking the car.

Stepping inside the condo, Luke lies on the couch watching something that looks like modern family?

"Hey beautiful." He walks over to me smirking.

"Leave me the fuck alone. Why are you even here!?" I yell at him alarming Calum as he walks through the door.

"Luke you don't live here anymore." Calum butts in

"I help pay bills. I stay." He walks back into the living room placing himself in the position he got up from.

"Go to our room Carter." Wondering what actions may take place I did as told.

Calum's POV

"Why won't you just leave. Your hurting yourself mostly but trying to hurt her."

"SHUTUP Calum! You have no idea how much I love her."

"If you loved her so much you wouldn't have been having sex with someone worthless than her."

"Don't you think I know that." He gets up and walks over trying to intimidate me. It's not working.

"Calum I could beat your ass right now."

"Then try it." I led him to push me and I shoved back harder.

Swinging for my face he missed and I pinned him to the wall making him hit head first.

"Dammit." He rubbed his head.

"And I thought you could beat my ass right now." I let him go and started walking toward the room

A few seconds later I was pushed to the floor, Luke hovering over me.

"Think you could just walk away from me." He punched me jaw causing me to get even more pissed.

kneeing him in the nuts, I quickly hovered over his body punching him to the face over and over.

"Calum stop! Calum!" Carter pulls me off of him.

"You were going to kill him." She began to hug me taking my mind off of killing Luke.

"Don't go trying to make your boyfriend feel better Carter." He wipes the blood from his mouth.

"Leave Luke." Carter says calmly

"Not without you!"

"Leave." Carter interrupts him from continuing his thoughts.

Without a word he took off out the door slamming it shut.

Carter's POV

"Ow!"

"Stop being a baby."

"It stings." He whines as I put alcohol and medicine on his bloody cuts and sore bruises.

"I don't like this."

"Hush up. You'll heal." I placed a bandaid on under his eye and giggle to myself.

"Why are you laughing?" Calum jumps up and stares into my eyes for a answer.

He finally looks into the mirror and sees the cute cheerful images on the bandage.

"Really? Hello Kitty?" He starts pouting.

"It's all I could find." I continue giggling. "You look adorable."

"You look beautiful." He wraps his arms around my waist ,pulling me into him.

"Thank you." I whispered as he tilted his head down to mine lingering over my lips.

"Your shaking." He breathes onto my neck making me even more nervous. Letting go, he kisses my forehead.

"I'm going to call for the pizza." He smiles and exits the bathroom.

Following Calum's footsteps to the kitchen I find Ashton looking through the fridge.

"Hungry much?" I startled him making him bump his head on a shelf in the fridge and stumble backwards.

"Well hello." He greets me now nervous and rubbing the back of his head.

"Sorry." I couldn't help but smile at how nervous I made him.

"It's ok." He smiled back closing the fridge and picking up an apple from the fruit bowl.

"You know pizza is on the way?" I informed him.

"Oh yeah, I'm going to eat that too!" He begins to laugh at his own fat remark on himself and I join in.

"This pizza is so good." Ashton finally takes a break and talks after his fourth slice.

"We can tell you ate almost the whole box." Calum teases him

"I was hungry."

"No shit." I chimed in on the teasing making Ashton give me a 'your funny' look.

"So is Luke gone for good?"

"I really don't know." I same at the same time Calum says "Better be."

Breaking the silence a knock at the door comes and I rush to open it. No one was out there but a note.

Carter

I'm done playing games, Now its war. And better tell your little boyfriend to watch out. He's not safe with me either.
