As soon as her eyes fluttered close, he lost it. He tore the whole room up; completely destroyed it. Holes littered the entire surface but he could only see red. The room was painted in it. He let out an ear-piercing scream before his beast took over his state. He welcomed it, he didn't want to feel the pain anymore. It disappeared with him.
****************
He woke up and automatically knew where he was. He was in the house that him and Natalie had shared. He didn't move, just closed his eyes. He couldn't get the picture of how Natalie looked out of his head. Not a single space on her face hadn't been blue or purple. Her eyes had been so swollen that she could barely open them. Her nose was broken. Her lips split and bleeding. Her body covered in blood. Her golden hair hadn't been its normal color anymore. It had looked brown and matted from all the blood.
If it hadn't been for his beast, then he probably wouldn't of recognized her. Because she had worn jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt, he hadn't been able to see all the damage done. He knew it was bad though. That blood that painted her body, walls and floors was proof of that. He was surprised she lasted as long as she did.
Stupid human should of just given him up. The human male was nothing compared to him. The man would of never lasted against his beast. He wish she hadn't been so strong willed and stubborn. She would still be alive.
He had never cried in his life, but seeing her that way had done it for him. His emotions broke through; emotions he never thought he would have. He never knew what it felt like to have water leak from his eyes. He hated it. It fucking sucked. It drained the life out of him and made him feel tired. Plus, it made his face all sticky and dry.
The dumb girl said she loved him. She barely knew him; she couldn't possibly feel anything. Just another reason he hated humans. They got a thought stuck in their head and that was that. He had missed her though. He felt darker when she wasn't around to lighten his mood. He felt like more of a fucking monster. She had kept him at bay and seemed to equal him out. She was the complete opposite of him. Those two weeks had been the longest of his life and than as soon as he had her in his arms again, she was gone.
Damn it, he felt the tears come to his eyes. She was gone. He felt a pain in his chest and didn't understand it. He had never felt pain before. That was for humans and the weak minded. He realized it was his heart; it felt like it was actually breaking. Was that even possible?
He felt movement on the bed and froze. "What the fuck?" He looked to his right and realized he wasn't alone. He had been too caught up in his thoughts to listen to anything. Now that he was staring at her, he could hear her steady breathing. It was no longer labored, but steady and strong. He slowly sat up, not wanting to wake her. His eyes almost bugged out of his head as he took a closer look. Her nose was no longer broken and all the swelling had gone down. She was just very heavily bruised and still covered in blood. How was that even possible? He didn't understand. She had died. He heard her heart stop. "What the fuck is going on?" He spoke out loud. He paused when she shifted a little and groaned from the pain, but stayed asleep. She was alive. Holy shit, she was alive!! He felt the first real smile ever take over his face. At that moment, he didn't care how it happened. He was just glad she was back with him safe and alive!
He made his way to the bathroom and wet a rag. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he moved her hair out of her face. She was still beautiful with all the bruises on her. He tried to be as careful as he could as he dabbed the wet rag on her face, wiping away the traces of blood. He froze again as her eyes fluttered open.
"Hi." He smiled at her, happy to know she was okay. Her eyes widened and she gasped.
"You, you smiled!" She stuttered out. It was the first time since he'd left her that he saw her eyes shine. He had missed the sparkle in them; loved the glow.
