Lena's pov

I heard a thud, then a crash...

I rushed out of the elevator at the sound of alarms blaring and see broken glass everywhere. The guard was unconscious on the shiny tiled floor. And two figures were fighting in the lobby like gladiators in a coliseum.

One was someone tall, dark and I don't think I recognize. The other, it's someone I am fairly sure I have seen before...

It's the red caped blur who saved my life that day when some lunatic fired rocket grenades in my chopper.

I froze in fear as the tall dark figure moved forward, picking up a large ruble of concrete with both hands and threw it at my direction. I braced myself for impact since my body can't seem to move and flee.

But the large ruble of concrete turned to bits and pieces as it hit the red caped blur, who came to my rescue blocking the hit, once again saving my life.

"Get out of here," she said turning to meet my eyes.

Those eyes...

Kara's pov

She fell asleep on the single couch.

She must have been tired, on top of being traumatized. Mom just went out to settle hospital stuff. I honestly don't want to tell Mom, I don't want her to worry, and I sure as hell don't want to go here in the hospital.

But Lena has her way in convincing me, and she actually has a point insisting on a check up. Good thing the doctor didn't poked me with those needles and just prescibed some rest and some pain meds that I really can't pronounce.

Now, she fell asleep, curled up uncomfortably in that couch. She looked so beautiful in her sleep... with those thick dark eyelashes,... her rosy high cheekbones,...the smooth outline of her jaw,...her full luscious slightly open mouth...

She moved suddenly in that uncomfortable piece of furniture she's sleeping in. As much as I love to watch her in her sleep, I had to wake her up.

I inched closer to her, since the couch was right next to the hospital bed I'm sitting in, and tried to wake her up.

"Lena.... love?"
