Kara's pov

"Love you too, goodnight..."

I hung up and hugged ms. mcfuzzy. Lena just called and capped my day into a perfect ending.  Until I turned to see Alex leaning in my partly open door, arms crossed.

Oh crap...

"Do you wanna tell me something?" She quietly said.

I remained silent, because I honestly do not know what to say. Just how long has she been standing there? How much of the conversation I had with Lena did she actually hear? 

"Uhm...goodnight?" I said shrugging off. I am so gonna keep my door shut next time and hang a sign Off Limits!

"Anything else?"

"Uhm...sleep well?" I avoided eye contact with Alex, because she can see just about anything.

"Really, Kara...Are you and Lena dating?"

On point as always. Seems to me I can't keep a secret with Alex, might as well she hear it from me  she hears it somewhere else. Then, I found myself confessing...

"Just happened?" she said a little exasperated after I tried to explain myself. "Kara, what do you mean just happened?"

"I don't know, Alex... I just know I fell for her, hard, deep and real fast, I don't want to lose her"

Alex just stood there, squinting at me. I don't know if she's scrutinizing me, reading my mind, understanding or just trying to figure me out. Good luck with that, because I've been trying the same thing. Figure me out, it's a lifelong process so might as well begin now.

"I'm kinda tired, Alex...if you don't mind, please I feel like sleeping now" I said as I plopped myself into bed.

"...You know, you have to tell you're mom, Kara...this isn't something you just keep to yourself... goodnight,"

She left leaving my door open. Mom's the best really...but somehow, someway, I am not so sure if she's gonna be okay with me falling in love with the girl next door...

Lena's pov

It's already late and I'm still wide awake.

Mom's gonna be home the next day, and the talk about the latest couple news alert in school is still buzzing. She'll surely hear about, if she haven't heard already. How I wish there's going to be a delay on her flight, just enough time for me to come up with a better pitch, or at least until the news dies out.

As I ponder on these thoughts, I heard dad's car engine, saw it's headlights pass by. It's eighteen minutes past one in the morning, and Dad just got in? I don't wanna know why...I don't want to find out if I'm about to have another half brother, or sister. That's just too much for me now.
