sorry it took me this long to update.  I went island hopping with some friends and couldn't quite access the internet. But no worries, I'm up for the task to continue my supercorp and I try to make things interesing from here on. So please keep on reading and enjoy the story!

Lena's pov

It's been a brutal week. Papers due almost every day, up coming exams, mom grumpy all the time, dad pretending everything is still like what it used to be and Lex having a blast in college. Then, there's soccer practice.

Coach Henshaw's been torturing us with his brand new exercise program, which is very very exhausting. The only thing that keeps me from having a nervous breakdown is Kara.

I've been spending a whole lot of time with Kara so much, she's become my rock in all of the crap happening to me. Mom and dad argues more frequently now, it makes me more depressed hearing them fight. I'm so glad Kara's been there being kind and supportive and making me laugh my fat ass off.

However, I haven't seen Kara since morning today. She said she'll go run some errand for her mom and be right back soon. But apparently, she hasn't. Winn said she skipped math and Maggie said she wasn't in english. I know its just a couple of hours or so, but I miss her like crazy already. Especially now that soccer practice has been killing me. I wish I could check my phone so I can message or call her...

Kara's pov

After dropping off the big box of imported coffee grounds mom had me fetch because of some trouble with shipping and delivery, I ran into Mike on my way back to school to see Lena, Maggie and Winn for a study group.

"Hi!" He said.

"Hey, Mike..."

"Uhm...I saw you just left SuperSweeets," He said as he walked alongside with me."So, where you off to now..."

"Back to prison called highschool and continue my four year sentence," I said jokingly.

"Hahaha...so you don't like school much, do you?"

"Depends on what they teach...why aren't you in school by the way?"

"I dropped out..."

"So, you're the one who doesn't like school very much..."

"Sort of," He said smiling. "So...I'm kinda hungry, do you wanna grab some sandwich with me,"

Now that he mentioned it, I remembered I haven't had my lunch just yet.

"Sure. You just reminded me I'm actually famished after all that coffee bean debacle...I know this place by our school, they serve the best grilled cheese sandwich. Do you want to try it?" I offered because it's near the school and I won't have to go opposite direction. I just hope its okay with Mike.

"So long as you guarantee its the best, absolutely... Let's get us some grilled cheese sandwiches," He said a little too enthusiastically.

We walked all the way to school since it isn't really that far. We reached the place and the waiting line is way too long, like those lines where they sell one direction concert tickets. Mike and I fell in anyway, so while we waited we talked.

He isn't so bad really. He's actually funny and goofy. A little reserved but he can crack a joke out of anything. Later on it was our turn to get our orders and since there wasn't a vacant space for us to sit on and eat, he decided to walk me to the school's open field while we munch on our sandwiches.

I'm supposed to meet Lena and the wonder twins, Maggie and Winn there, and as Mike and I closed the distance, I eventually saw them from the other end of the field. Lena was wearing her blue and white striped soccer jersey​, she looked really cute and sporty. She looked our way and gave me that perfect smile I missed so much today. But it slowly faded away as she looked at Mike, who went noticeably quiet the minute he saw Lena.

"Hey guys!" I said trying to set aside in my mind the sudden tension in the air.

"Hey Kara! Where have you been?!" Winn said,"Maggie's been crying in english coz she's got no one to copy notes from,"

"Shut up,Winn...Hey Kara! Who's the stranger?" Maggie said.

"Uhm...this is Mike, he works for my mom at the bakeshop...Mike, these are my dysfunctional, if not damaged friends Winn and Maggie. And that gorgeous one over there is L-"

"Lena Luthor..." Mike said cutting me off.

"Hello Mike," Lena said flatly, her bright smile gone.

"Do you know each other?" I asked completely puzzled. Are Lena and Mike exes or something? They've been having a stare contest since we got here.

"Not really...Uhm, Kara I got to go now, my mom needs me...thanks for having sandwich with me..." Mike said and left.

I turned to Lena questioningly. I need to know how she knew Mike exactly and I hate the assumptions I'm having in my head right now.

"Hey Lena, how do you know Kara's friend Mike?" Winn beat me to the actual question.

"Yeah...some stare down you two had back there...what's that about?" Maggie butted in.

I just stared at Lena, who's still looking at Mike, who's very far on the street now walking fast. She wasn't saying anything at all...

"Well...were waiting for some response here, Lena..." Winn pressed the issue since I can't seem to do it myself after my own tongue froze in my mouth.

"Is he your ex boyfriend you somehow failed to mention?" Maggie asked tactlessly.

Now, Lena looked down then rolled her eyes to Maggie.

"No, you silly...eeww," she said.

"He's my brother,"
