Part 54: Blurry Tunnel Vision

Mike's pov

They dragged Lex off his chains and out the door. I don't know where they're taking him, or if he's still breathing. He's been unconscious for a long time, bleeding and unmoving.

"Where are you taking him?"

I can barely spit the question out with my busted lip, but it sure caught some attention. Big boss just gave me a slap that could've ripped my face off my head. I may have been seeing red in a blurry tunnel vision sort of way since last night but I know it's the boss who just slapped the remaining lights out of my already swollen face.

"Shut up!!" I heard him say.

"Boss we got news... the girl's in Midway City," I heard one of his little minions say.

"Get her..."

Lena's in Midway City? Why is she in Midway City? What is she doing there?

"Then take the bastard to the dock,"

Oh god no...

The boss executes his enemies just about anywhere, but the docks... It's his favorite spot.

I could just feel the death of me is inevitable. I'm gonna die soon.

And I'm gonna die way too young...

Lena's pov

"Okay... wait here,"

The police officer, whose nameplate says Nash, went to the phone that's sitting on the other desk and made a call.

I went to the police right away and reported Kara's abduction. After giving a full statement, giving them all the details especially that van's plate number, I was asked to sit and wait. Something I hate to do, especially now that somebody kidnapped my girlfriend.

Thinking about it, I realized this is my fault. If I didn't tell Kara where I'm going after running off from Baxter, she wouldn't be here. She wouldn't be kidnapped...

I should call mom and dad. I should call Mrs Danvers. I should tell them its my fault...

"Ms Luthor? Come with me please... this way,"

After about an eternity of keeping me wait, Officer Nash finally called out and guided me to go through some hallway. I may not know where the hallway was leading to, but I obliged anyway. I walked ahead of the uniformed police and went on to ask where we're heading to.

"Officer Na---"
