Chapter Six - Pizza and The Demographics

After getting dressed River went down to the basement where Jughead and Owen were, playing video games.

Nathan and Eva Sinclair allowed the kids to have the basement and Owen and River turned it into their own kind of den where they would watch movies and play video games.

"Eleven? Is that you?" Owen said while looking at his sisters pink dress. River glared at him before flipping him the bird.

"I look nothing like, Eleven," River said and Owen shrugged before going back to playing video games.

"Rivs, you don't have to go. Can't you just call in sick or something?" Jughead asked her and River shook her head.

"He will tell the whole school and I'll be forced to come out of the closet and I'm not ready yet," River explained and Jughead nodded in understanding.

"If he does anything just call me. I'll kill him with my own two hands," Owen said his eyes not leaving the television screen.

"Reggie will break you, Wen." River said and before Owen could reply the door bell rang. Owen paused his video game before standing up and pulling River into a hug.

"If you want me to come and get you, just text me," Owen said and River nodded before grabbing her jacket and leaving the basement.

"Dude, Reggie is a dick," Owen said to Jughead and Jughead nodded before pulling out his phone.

"Betty wants to do something," Jughead said and Owen nodded.

"Dude, she digs you," Owen said he's been watching the way Betty acts around Jughead and Steve wonder can tell that Betty has a crush on Jughead.

"No she doesn't. Well I don't think she does," Jughead said and Owen shrugged before going back to his video game.

"She's with Veronica," Jughead said and Owen paused the game to look at Jughead.

"Invite them over, I'll order pizza," Owen said standing up and starting to clean the basement.

"So, are you guys going to Ginger's party?" Betty asked from her position on the basement couch.

"Are you guys?" Owen asked from his position on the floor next to Veronica and the girls nodded.

"Yeah, River, Jughead and I, will be there," Owen said and Jughead shot him a look from the couch.

"I'm not fucking going," Jughead said and Owen threw a pillow at Jughead.

"We will be there," Owen said and Jughead rolled his eyes.

"Where is River? I was expecting her to be here," Betty said and Owen shrugged.

"She's on a date with Reggie," Owen said and Veronica raised an eyebrow.

"I never thought Reggie would be her type?" Veronica said and Jughead looked at her.

"He's not. She likes Hispanics," Jughead said and Owen glared at him.

"Yeah, that's a thing me and my sister have in common. We both like Hispanics," Owen said and Jughead rolled his eyes.

"Yeah but River likes them more, she saw them first," Jughead retorted and Owen glared at him. Betty and Veronica looked at the pair in confusion.

"River saw a whole demographic first?" Veronica asked and Jughead eyes widened.

"I've said too much. Wen, pass the Oreos," Jughead said Owen glared at him while handing him the packet of Oreos.
