Chapter Twenty-Six: Giant Teddy Bears and Germs.

It's been a week since Owen and River made up and in that time Owen also made up with Jughead.

River walked down the stairs into the kitchen where Owen and Eva were having breakfast, Nathan had already left for work.

"Why are you dressed like a tribute MC Hammer?" Owen asked River looked at her outfit which consisted of grey oversized tracksuit bottoms and a black t-shirt and River just glared at him.

"Because I'm sick," River said before sniffling and Owen shot her a look before looking at him mother.

"Mom, is River sick?" Owen asked and Eva walked towards her daughter and touching her forehead.

"Yup. She caught the flu that was going around. She is basically highly contagious. River I told you to stay in you room," Eva said and River just sneezed.

"So, River gets to stay home and doesn't have to go to school?" Owen asked his mom who was currently handing River a bottle of cough syrup.

"Yup. River don't take too much," Eva said to her daughter and River nodded in understanding and Owen sighed. Jughead and Archie were both sick with the flu and now River had it.

Owen sighed before pulling his sister into a hug.

"River I want you to lick me," Owen said and River shot him a look.

"What?" River asked before sneezing and Owen nodded in approval.

"Yes, Riv. Sneeze again right on my face," Owen said and River shot him a disgusted look and Eva shook her head at her son before grabbing his arm and pulling him away from River.

"Owen, luckily you have a strong immune system. Come on, I'll drive you to school on my way to work," Eva said and Owen sighed.

"I would hardly call it lucky," Owen sulked before leaving the kitchen and Eva chuckled before looking at River.

"River, I want you to stay in bed today. If you get hungry just heat up the soup I made for you," Eva said while kissing River on her forehead and River just smiled at her mom, before her mom left the house with Owen.

River was laying in her bed surrounded by blankets while watching Netflix, she might have accidentally taken too much cough syrup and was feeling a bit ditzy, when her doorbell rang. She tried to ignore it but it just kept on ringing.

River groaned before wrapping a blanket around her shoulders and standing up from her bed and walking downstairs to answer the door.

When she answered the door, Veronica was standing there with a red nose and dressed in track pants holding a large teddy bear.
