"Don't freak out on anything I'm about to tell you. Okay?" Tyler nods slightly, still confused and curious as to what Brendon has to say. Tyler knew he recognized the boy that bumped into him awhile back, but he couldn't place his finger on those luscious pastel lips, or the oversized forehead. But now he knew.
"Look, I know your name because our families know each other." Tyler rose an eyebrow.
"You haven't always been this poor Tyler, and me and you? We've met before, a long time ago. You see, the thing is, you and I, we were experiments. In a lab. Why were we experimented on? I have no idea, we don't have powers or anything, but I do think it has something to do with our sexualities. Awful isn't it?" Tyler nods his head, that is pretty screwed up.
"Our parents were really good friends, and they still are. They hang out almost every night. Ever wonder where your mom goes at night? To my house. They all get shit faced, it's pretty funny actually, but I know what she does to you when she gets back home. And I guess i just want to apologize on my parents behalf for getting her like this. Yknow, so used to the feeling of intoxication. I'm sorry." Tyler frowned, and looked down at his hands.
"Also, I know what happened to your dad."

This is it, Josh thought. He knows his feelings for Tyler and he isn't as afraid. Of course he still is slightly, just not as much. But he knows now that he wants to be Tyler's boyfriend, it's just a matter of how to ask him.

Tyler went home that same night, a little flabbergasted. It all makes sense. It really does. Some of his questions have been answered, but new ones are being made up. Like, how do you explain what Tyler saw if it wasn't even real? At this moment, Tyler needs a break. And that break is a boy with a highlighter as hair.
Tyler makes his way to the school on a foggy morning, Josh being right by his side. He notices that the bright boy has been quite nervous ever since they met up. Tyler can't think of a reason why, it's not like they have tests or anything like that. He decides to ignore it though, most likely him having the case of butterflies for school. Tyler used to get them all of the time on his first couple of days starting at this place. Suddenly, Tyler feels his arm being grabbed and Josh is dragging him into a different direction. He keeps dragging the small boy behind, Tyler barely being able to keep up. Once the two finally come to a stop, Josh grabs Tyler by the shoulders and looks directly into his eyes.
"Lets skip." Tyler smiles and starts laughing. Josh smiles for a second, but then falters, being a little confused.
"What? C'mon, we both need it. We both need a break from that hell hole. We can hang out at my house or even go the mall. Omg yes! Let's go shopping!"
Tyler beams at him. "Josh, your gay is showing." Josh blushed like hell, and what made it even worse was Tyler's little voice cracks between every word.
"Oh shut up, now c'mon, what do you say?" Tyler rolls his eyes, but smiles and nods.
"Yay!"
