3 years later

I can't remember a damn thing anymore.

I've been in this place for as long as I CAN remember. They tell me I was dropped off here when I was a baby, it was tragic. They didn't even see the person who did it.

As of right now, I'm in the cafeteria part of the building, it's currently lunch time and everyone is eating. The superiors says that all of these other people were dropped off here to, but the others act strange. For each person, something feels off, like there is something wrong with them. One of the other kids said he sees people that aren't there, while another one claims he can make stuff fly with his mind. To which I don't quite understand because that's impossible, but whatever floats his boat I guess.

I mess with the soup in my bowl, chicken noodle soup, how disgusting. That is, until I hear the large doors that lead into the cafeteria open up. Two guards are standing there, but they both hold a boy in their arms. He seems to be my age, however is hair is a dark shade of brown and looks like it had just received a bad cut. I furrow my eyebrows, but soon advert my attention back to my tasteless soup.

"Everyone look up here now!" I sigh in annoyance. I just want to mope around and eat my soup, is that too much to ask for? I look back up towards the trio, waiting impatiently for what they have to say.

"This is your new friend, he will be staying with us permanently from here on out, got it?" We all bowed our heads, a sign to show understanding and respect.

"Alright boy, greet yourself." They pushed him forward, violently I may add. He was trembling like a cold puppy, I almost felt sad for him. At first, he just stood there, still shaking. The guards just rolled their eyes and poked him violently with the tips of their guns. He jumps nearly a foot high, making some of the others look at him in amusement. Jeez, now they all think he's super man. I was about to sit back down until finally the boy decided to speak up.

"H-hi, I'm Josh."
