Kat
As I confidently strides over I could see Nate's female friend say something, her lips moving, receiving a nudge from Nate.
"Hey guys, I heard you guys were free this weekend, so I figured I'd invite you to this party my friend jade is throwing at her house on Saturday at like ten ish," I grinned invitingly.
Nate
"How did you know we were free this weekend?" Matthew asked incredulously in near disbelief.
"I didn't, I just guessed," she replied, snapping her gum.
"Uh okay, well we don't accept invitations from bubblegum bitches to burnout bashes that the police will probably break up after an hour it starts," Quinn stated rudely.
Quinn opened her mouth to add something else before Kat let put a light laugh, as if challenging her to keep going.
This shut up Quinn quickly.
"Save the bitterness for someone who gives a shit. Seriously It's like marinating in your own hatred give it a break girl," Kat advised as though she were looking out for her.
"Anyway, party. You going?" Kat asked me.
I opened my mouth before Matthew interrupted me.
"We'll be there," he interrupted.
A satisfied smile spread across Kat's face.
"Great to hear, I'll see you guys there then," she said before leaving.
"Or maybe we won't show up Katherine!" Quinn shouted after her
"Say my name again! Maybe you'll name your kids after me!" Kat responded totally unfazed without having to even turn around, Kat's hair shine under the hot sun,
"Don't worry! We'll totally be there!" Matthew shouted.
I leaned over to a slightly fuming Quinn.
"Uh you know her name isn't actually short for Katherine right? Her name is legit Kat," I whispered.
"Shut up Nate," Quinn mumbled angrily while Matthew grinned ear to ear like an idiot.
"We're going to Kat Channing's party," he whisper yelled.
"Correction; you're going to Kat Channing's friend's party," Quinn corrected.
"Awh come on Quinnie, you gotta come with us," Matthew whined, poking her shoulder.
"No way, not happening," she stated firmly.
"Come on Quinnie, how can you say no to that face?" I insisted, motioning to Matthew's puppy dog eyes.
After what felt like an hour, which was more like a minute or two, Quinn finally caved in.
"Fine," she huffed.
"I swear to god I'm not going to enjoy it and you know how I hate being called Quinnie ."
