Nate
I looked to behind Quinn, which seemed to be the source of the overpowering stench, only to see, yep, you guessed it.
Brian.
"Hey Brainiac," he said, wrapping his arms around her as he placed his chin on her shoulder, a large smile spreading across Quinn's face, seemingly immune to the stench.
"Oh heeeeey Brian," she said, looking over at Felix triumphantly.
Felix, barely looked at her, but at Brian, in a sort of awe that a popular person would ever bother grace our presence.
'Gimme a break' I thought to myself, rolling my eyes.
He's a track runner not a god.
Matthew seemed to be on the same track as me, as he said a quick "hullo" through a mouthful of food.
"Uh, hey," Brian replied, who's facial expression almost seemed to say 'who the fuck are you?'
"Okay well, Is there a reason as to why you were interrupting our discussion on..?" I trailed off, looking to someone else at the table who was on topic.
Normally I love these conversations
"why is batman considered a good guy",
"is Deadpool secretly depressed because he knows he's just a comic book character?"
"Should Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield have made a cameo in homecoming?"
"Is Harley Quinn secretly taking the Joker's unused or failed plans and plots and hiding them away to perfect and reuse for her own secret doomsday?""Is Dumbledore actually a good guy, or is he just being portrayed as a good guy," Tobias responded breezily.
Thank you Tobias.
"Oh yeah that guy from The hobbit or whatever?" Brian asked as though he knew exactly what he was talking about.
Tobias and Markus stifled a laugh before Quinn kicked them both under the table.
"No, we're talking about Dumbledore from Harry Potter?"
"Oh yeah I know who you're talking about, he's the one that says 'you're a witch Harry',"
Okay this has just become painful.
"So what is it that you wanted to tell Quinn?" I asked.
"Yeah that," he said, pushing Matthew and I almost off the table while he slid in next to Quinn, he pulled out a smile and looked her straight in the face.
"So I couldn't help but think about the other night, you seem like such a cool girl, if you wanna maybe go to Jone's with me sometime?" He asked as though he'd done this a hundred times before.
Which I don't doubt he did.
Quinn's face flushed red.
"Oh, uh, yes, absolutely- I'd love to, thanks," she accepted, flustered.
Matthew and I gave each other shifty eyes. So when did Track star Brian Blake, decide to suddenly go from dating the most popular girls in the school who cared more about hair roots than square roots, as well as neighbouring schools too- decide to completely do a 180 and date girls like Quinn?
