Nate
For once I wasn't in someone's living room, urging everyone else to get downstairs. We were already at coat check, granted we were a little late but not as late as I thought we would be.
"I'd hang onto those coats if I were you," a voice advised.
I turned around rigidly to see Kat and Jade standing there nonchalantly.
I put my hand on my heart and sighed.
"Goddamnit Kat you scared me!" I scolded. She laughed in response.
"Kat your dress is gorgeous," gushed Quinn in response to the red dress Kat was wearing.
"Thanks Quinn, I love your new dress, these last few weeks at the gym have really paid off, you look great," Kat replied.
"Well you're a great help, I wouldn't have been able to get this far without you," she smiled.
Admittedly it was impressive how different she looked after eating some new foods and going to the gym with Kat for a month.
"Jade I love yours too, Black really is your colour," Quinn added.
Jade smiled brightly and started chatting away about where they got their dresses from.
"Come on, you guys need to see the ballroom, it's insane," Kat encouraged.
"Well I gotta see it now," Felix commented.
Entering the room it's hard to not be in awe at all the twinkling fairy lights and stars and decorations.
"Goddamn," I managed.
"I know right? It's beautiful," Kat agreed.
Once I was able to get my mind on something else and Jade and Quinn rejoined us I remembered a question I had been meaning to ask.
"Hey Quinn, where's your date?" I asked curiously.
"You're looking at her!" Kat stated proudly, wrapping an arm around Jade's waist.
"Wait.., Kat.., you're..," I struggled, in attempt to process this new information.
"A lesbian?" She offered.
"Y-yeah," I stammered.
"Wait, Kat you're a lesbian?" Quinn asked in surprise.
"You seriously didn't know?" I asked a little surprised myself.
Jade and I didn't exactly make our relationship a secret, we weren't an obnoxious PDA attention demanding, one either so many that's why they didn't notice.
"Calvin and I knew," Felix mentions casually.
"Wait how?" Nate asked in surprise.
"Is this why you guys were so weird at the table that one time the other day?" Quinn asked.
Calvin nodded, "yeah, I mean they weren't exactly subtle though,"
