Chapter 21 Team

Regina had surgery, and it went fine, they just wouldn't be able to have more children which was ok with them. Killian doted on her during her recovery with the help of David and Mary Margaret, who helped with the kids too. 

6 months later, Molly was now 2 years old, and very active. She was quite chatty and wanted to know what everything was around her. She also started to want to sleep in her parents bed a lot.

Rebecca was coming over that day to do some baking, of course she knew how Cora made apple desserts. Rebecca typically liked using green apples, where Cora used red, but she of course changed to red after Cora passed away, for the sake of Regina. "Where are my little darlings?" Rebecca came in, and Brennan and Molly ran to her, "Aww my munchkins," Rebecca said, "Hi Aunt Bec," Killian kissed her cheek, "There's my Regina!!" Rebecca said, as Regina hugged her, "How are you? He took good care of you during the healing process?" Rebecca asked, "Yes, of course," Regina said. Rebecca and Regina were very close since she lived with her for two years before turning 18.

"Your grandmother, my sister made this, and your Daddy," Rebecca said to Brennan and Molly as they watched her start preparing dough and apples for the turnovers. "Smells like them," Killian said. Regina smiled sweetly at him. They always missed their parents at times like this, but they had their children, and Dawn and Rebecca and Elliot, and of course Jacob, and best friends David and Mary Margaret. "Here just one bite," Regina smiled and Mary Margaret who laughed at her holding the apple. 

"Well I knew I smelled that," Dawn said coming in, with Elliot and Jacob. "Where's my sweet girl?" Dawn asked as Molly beamed at her, Molly was the most like Dawn, sass and all. "What is this?" Killian asked, "Just clothes for both of them," Dawn said, "You just love dressing them up," Killian said, "I dressed you up too when you were little," Dawn said,  "Ok ok, enough of the little Killian stuff," Killian sighed, "I'm a father now," Killian said. "Daddy you were little," Brennan said. "Yes he was, and quite the handsome little thing, like you," Dawn said.

"No Nap!!" Molly shook her head and protested against nap time. "Oh no, you are taking it," Regina said. "Oh come on, family is here, we can skip it," Killian said, "What? You know what a nightmare she's going to be if we skip it," Regina said, "Oh love, I'll deal with her," Killian said, "You just want to rescue her," Regina said, "Well, she is my little fair maiden, and she's in distress," Killian said. 

"She's tired and cranky, she needs a nap," Regina said. "It's extenuating circumstance today," Killian said, "No nap Mummy," Molly said. "Well, no talking back to your mum," he said. "Killian, she's already sassing me, what happened to Mr. Strict?" Regina asked, "I'm still here, I'm just saying she can skip the nap," Killian said. 

"I don't like this," Regina said, "Listen, she'll pass out, maybe early, and she won't wake up, which means, we can... you know..." he smirked. "You're keeping her up and going to make her miserable for your own benefit?" Regina asked, "Well actually the way I do you, it's for yours too," He winked. Regina smirked at him, "Fine," she said. "There you are," he smiled and kissed her cheek.

At 7 pm of course, Molly started to really fight everything, "Molly, give that back to your brother," Killian said, "No! Mine!" Molly said, "No actually, it's his, give it back, be nice or you go in time out," Killian said, "No! Mine!" Molly snapped at him, Regina crossed her arms and smirked at Killian. "Ok, then you get time out," Killian said picking up Molly and putting her in the corner, "Ehh!!! No!!!" Molly cried at him, "Stay," Killian said as he pat her bottom, as a warning. "Daddy spank Molly," Brennan said, "Are you telling me to? Or asking?" Killian asked him, his son stared at him, "She'll get what she deserves when she deserves it, mate, don't concern yourself, up to Daddy," Killian said.

"I told you she would be difficult tonight," Regina said, "Mm well, I still am sticking by my statement, she will pass out by 8, so will he, and boom, we have taco time," he smirked. "Your son is just like you," Regina said, and Killian looked over, Brennan was letting Molly play in the corner, "Hey, mate, I put her in time out, no toys," Killian said taking Brennan's hand and the toy away, he stood Molly up, and pat her bottom to face the corner, of course she cried.

"Are you surprised? He saved her, just like you do, he's taking after you," Regina said. "Mmm I know, it's going to a problem at some point depending how much he takes after me," Killian said. "Molly come here baby," Killian knelt down, Brennan leaned on his Dad, and Killian spoke to Molly, "You don't sass me, I know you're getting tired, but you don't take a toy from your brother that's his, he doesn't do that to you, it's not nice," Killian said. His two year old understood, and she nodded at him, "Aww, my tired baby?" Killian asked, "Mama," Molly whined, "That's a big yes," Regina said smiling and picking up Molly, "Potty," Molly said. "Oh? Well, that's good, before bed," Regina said.

Molly was getting good at potty training, a bit easier than Brennan was, but boys were typically harder, plus Molly was the baby so she had her older brother already potty trained to look up to. It was interesting though since Brennan recognized a difference between him and his sister. "Molly no," Brennan said shaking his head looking at Molly as Regina got her changed, "Umm.. right... yes Molly is different than you, she has what mommy has, you have what daddy has," Regina explained to him. 

"What?" Killian asked, "Your son notices he's not the same as his sister," Regina said, "Oh, I see," Killian smirked, "Yes mate, you're like Daddy, Molly is like mummy," Killian said, "Milk?" Brennan asked looking at Regina's breasts, "I knew I shouldn't have breastfed him," Regina sighed, Killian laughed, "Umm yes, someday Molly will have those too, like mummy," Killian said laughing, "Come on lad, bed," Killian said picking him up, "So that Daddy can enjoy the difference between him and mummy," Killian smirked.

They tucked in the kids, and Molly was passed out before they even got her into bed all the way, "Now, to explore the difference between you.... and me..." Killian said slowly, and kissing Regina in between words. "mmm I always liked you on my team," Regina smiled and Killian picked her up and carried her to bed.
