Molly Jones, 7 years old. Regina's business was thriving, Killian had another school year. Molly was going into 2nd grade, and Brennan was going into 4th.

It was the last weekend before school was to start up, and Killian and Regina had the kids off at the beach, "Remember when we came here to deal with what happened to our parents?" Killian asked, "Yes, there was something so relaxing about just feeling the sand in our feet, and hearing the waves, it was like they were talking to us," Regina said.

"I think they are always talking to us," Killian said, "Yeah? When do you hear them?" Regina asked, "Every time I pick up an apple, I hear my mother, every time I bake something I hear my mother saying don't ever measure the cinnamon," Regina said. "Whenever I spank one of the kids, I hear my father saying they won't hate you, you're just being a father, whenever I put one of them on my shoulders, I hear my father saying do this as long as you can, hug them as much as you can," Killian said.

"I hear my Mom too, I've taught them everything about fairy tales, just as my mom did, having us believe that things can always get better, and that our happy ending may not be what we think, but it always shows you the right way. I hear my father joking, and I swear Brennan has his laugh, and Molly has my mom's giggle," Regina said. "They do," Killian said. The kids ran up to them, "Look Mommy, shells," Molly said, and Regina held the bucket looking at the pretty shells Molly put in it.

The kids were sun kissed, and sand covered, and it was time to go home, "Come on you two," Killian said kneeling down, and his son clasped his hands around his neck and Killian picked him up, Regina did the same to Molly, and the kids held onto their parents to the car. They got home, the kids were amazingly still awake, "Ok you two, stand in the yard," Regina said.

It was really warm out, Killian got the hose, "Ready?" Killian asked, the kids nodded, and laughed, and Killian sprayed them with the house, the kids laughed so loud, as Killian hosed them down, "That's the easiest bath ever," Regina said as the kids were all cleaned off from the beach, "Ok you two," Regina said and they ran into the house in their suits.

Back to school, and Killian took both of the kids to school, "So, tomorrow I am whisking you away," Killian said. "Oh?" Regina asked, "Yeah, our anniversary, Dawn and Elliot are watching the kids overnight, they'll have who knows how many teeth left from all the treats they'll get." Killian said kissing them all goodbye for the day.

After school

"Baby!" one boy said and pushed Molly flat on the ground, face first, out of nowhere, Brennan flew at the boy, and knocked him over, "Don't push my sister!!!" He screamed and hit the boy in the face. A teacher grabbed him off the other boy, and took him and Molly inside.

Killian as the principal could handle this as both their father and head of school. "I'm in trouble," Brennan sighed, Killian smiled at him, "Why?" he asked, "Aren't you going to spank me?" Brennan asks, "Mmm, No," Killian said bandaging the little cut on Molly's knee. "That boy pushed me Daddy," Molly cried. "I know princess," Killian kissed his head, "And your brother here deprived me of a dashing rescue," Killian smiled. "Really? I'm not in trouble?" Brennan asks. "We'll talk at home," Killian said. Brennan didn't really know what to make of that.

"Come here," Killian sat down on his bed, "Uh oh," his son sighed, "You're not in trouble, come here talk to me, your mummy and I met when we were around Molly's age, and we've been together ever since, and some boys were mean to your mum, and I punched them too, and my papa, your grandpa, he didn't get mad or spank me either," Killian said.

"It's ok?" Brennan asked, "Well, it's ok that you defended your sister, it's not ok to just hit people, but you were protecting Molly and that's noble," Killian said. Brennan smiled and was relieved, "She's my sister," Brennan said, "Right, and remember we told you to be nice to your sister? That's why, because other people, sometimes boys, will be mean to her, and you're bigger," Killian said. Brennan hugged his dad, "Good man," Killian winked. "Daddy," Molly said coming in, "Hi you," Killian said and he went downstairs with the kids.

"Molly catch!" Brennan said but Molly didn't move fast enough, and he hit her square in the mouth, "Ahh!!" Molly gasped, "Brennan!" Regina scolded, "Ouch, I think her teeth just came out," Killian said, and Molly's two front baby teeth were gone, and on the floor, "Awww, remember we lost ours at the same time," Regina said, "Yeah I remember," Killian smiled, "Molly look at Daddy," Killian said, and the little gap in Molly's mouth was too darling. "Now you get ice cream Molly," Brennan said, "That she does mate, your brother looking out, go ahead and get her some together," Killian said. "Daddy, don't I get money?" Molly asks, "Your daughter," Regina smiles.

After school, Killian was watching the kids, they wanted to play in the playground a little while after Killian finished, Regina left work early, since it was a Friday and came to meet them. "Hey," Regina put her arm around him, the kids waved from the playground. A boy Molly's size came over to her, Brennan watched this closely, the boy smiled at Molly and he had his two front teeth missing too, "Hi," he said, "Hi," Molly said, she was kneeling playing with chalk, "Want to play on the slide?" the boy asked, "Yeah," Molly said, and the boy held out his hand, and Molly took it.

"I don't like the look of that," Killian said, "Aww, it's just like you, when you first took my hand, it's like history repeating itself," Regina smiled, "What? I don't like it, he's not me, so this is not ok," Killian said. "Oh stop it, Brennan is watching her like a hawk, and you're right here, they aren't getting married, but then again... we did," Regina smirked.

"Why the bloody hell are you smirking about this? That little lad needs to get away from my daughter," Killian said. "Oh Killian, they're 7, just like we were," Regina said, Killian looked her with a somewhat frustrated look, "This is different, that's MY baby, and we were actually 8," Killian said, "Aww, she's still your baby, she will be over here expecting you to carry her home," Regina said. "Well, good, let's go," Killian said, "Brennan!" Killian called, Regina rolled her eyes, how much she loved this man, her whole life, and here he was being exactly as she expected.

Brennan came over, holding Molly's hand, "Time to go home," Killian said picking up Molly, "I made a friend," Molly said, "He lost his baby teeth too," Molly said cutely, "Mm and the lad's name?" Killian asked, "Ryan," Molly said, "Hmm, What's his last name? what's his father do?" Killian asked, "Killian," Regina rolled her eyes at him again, and took Brennan's hand. "Ryan Murphy," Brennan said, "Good lad, see? he gets his spying from me," Killian smirked.

They got home, and had a nice dinner, "Ok time for bed," Killian pat Molly's behind, and she headed into her room, "Story?" Molly asked, "Yes, of course," Killian said. "Once upon a time, a young prince, named Killian, met a young princess, named Regina," Killian said.

Molly smiled loving this story, "The prince was devilishly handsome, and the princess was radiantly beautiful," Killian said. He kissed Molly goodnight, and headed out the door, "Daddy? What's the name of that story?" Molly asked, Killian thought for a moment, Regina came to the door, "The Story of us," Regina said with a smile. "You never really told us how it ends," Brennan said. "Like every story, we lived happily ever after," Regina smiled.
