Nick's POV
"What if I slip? Don't push me in." Desi says looking at me. I laugh looking at her. She knew damn well she couldn't slip.
"Okay. I won't." I say ducking down picking her up as she screams out as I throw her into our pool. "You're an idiot." She screams at me coming up as I laugh at her. I feel a pair of hands on my back shoving me into the pool. I swim up to see who it was knowing already it was Mason. He runs and jumps into the pool as well.
My siblings came over for them to see the house and hang out and that. Even Sophia and Daniel came to the Bbq/pool party. She brought the boyfriend along and so did Luke. Sam was absent since he was at college and strangely enough I wished he was here. Justin was here as Alex picked up from home.
I swim over to Desi putting my arms around her.
"So is this alcoholic?" Sophia asks holding up the ice tea and I look at her. "It is- put it down."
"I didn't want it in the first place." She says. "The one in the glass one aint though." I tell her.
"Sophia refusing a drink? Whats going on?" Alex teases her.
"I'm raising a child maybe?" She says as she sat on the chairs. "Surprisingly warm day." She says. "I wish I could catch a tan from this."
We chill around and eat the food I made on the barbecue. Desi takes my arm shaking it a little before she screams my name.
"My water just broke." She says and I look at her and the puddle of water. "What?" I say looking at the water. "You mean the baby is coming?" I panick. She laughs and shows me the bottle of water. Everyone just laughs at my reaction but I roll my eyes touching my chest. "So funny." I say pushing her face away. She laughs and pulls my head down kissing the side of my face. "You're cute." She laughs.
Weeks have passed and Desi's due date was nearing. She could be in labour any day, any minute.
Still hasnt sunk to me that I was going to have a son soon? Someones whose life I was going to impact. Someone I was gonna be stuck with for the rest of my life.
Desi and I have been good. We fought over nonsense usually like always but nothing major. I honestly hated when we were fighting but it usually didnt last long. Pregnant Desi was way more hormonal like my mom told me as she advised me to be patient.
Pregnant Desi wasn't just hormonal. She loved bossing me around. Getting angry for no reason. But seeing her carry my child for 9 months now was special and nice to see. I loved her more everyday. It was strange but everyday was like that crashing feeling of butterflies in your stomach falling in love all over again. I could not picture life without her at all.
What better gift she giving me in life than a whole child?
"You paying attention?" Sophia says looking at me. "Yeah what did you say?" I ask as I hold Ayla on my lap. She rolls her eyes at me as she sits down on the couch.
"I want to buy Desi a gift. Something huge. To give to her after she gives birth."
"That is so sweet. Did you think about that all by yourself?"
"Yep." I say and she chuckles. "Well- what you can buy her is that diamond ring?"
"Trust me were not at the marriage level yet." I say and she chuckles. Strange how I spoke to my little sister about this. Just 2/3 years ago we were screaming and shouting at eachother before I send her to boarding school.
