Desi's POV
"Zain- if you don't sit down right now..."
"But I want to run!" He says climbing back down. "One... two... if I say three you're going home. Your dad is going to come get you right now."
"Terrible two's?" A woman says next to me.
"Yep. He just got there as soon as he hit one." I say looking at Zain who ran away. We sat on the benches at the park and I was trying to get him to eat before he carried on playing. He was a handful.
"Oh my God." I say seeing he was fighting another child. I pick up Kai from my lap and get up to the swings. "Stop it." I say dragging Zain off the child. He was not even two and was resembling Nick.
"Zain. Why are you crying?" I say as he starts his tantrum. He throws himself on the floor and starts screaming and shouting. "Oh wow." I say getting up leaving him to it.
I sit on the bench and watch him finish his tantrum before he gets up and walks over.
"Mom." He says and I look at him. "I want a drink."
"Sit down and eat first?"
"No...." he nags. I give him the juice box and he runs off.
"That one is mine." She says pointing at the little boy on the slide. "Your kids are insanely gorgeous." She smiles and I chuckle. "Unusual- the dark hair and bright blue eyes." She says
"Yeah- their dad. Strong genes."
"What their names?"
"This is Mckai. That one there is Zain." I say and she nods. "Zain's nearly 2. Has 2 months left and Kai is nearly 6 months."
We chat about motherly shit for a while before I take Zain and Kai home. I put them to sleep before I take a shower and get ready for bed. God I was tired. I had to do some work for school too. I had exams, it was my final semester.
My phone rings and I look at Nick's name flashing across the screen.
"Hey." I answer.
"I'm outside- open up." He says. I sigh having to get out of bed.
"Its 10 oclock." I say and he laughs. "God parenthoods getting to you. We used to wake up 10?"
"Eh- dont you have a 9 months pregnant girlfriend?"
"Yeah- ready to burst. But look- remember how I told you about us kind of quitting the game."
"As you should. Your sons need you."
"Yeah yeah." He says. "You wasn't saying this a year ago."
"Shut up." I say rolling my eyes.
"Looks like you making a great profit still." He says touching my earrings. I slap his hand away and chuckle. "Leave it. I deserve to treat myself. Your sons are a handful."
"Zain really has become something else. My mom had him last weekend and she said we should see if he has ADHD."
"Hes way too young for medication."
"She said Alex had it and the medication really worked. He naturally then calmed down at 13."
"Nope." I say shrugging. "I don't want him dimmed down?"
"Well dont complain he is bouncing off the walls." He shrugs. "I see him way more than you do."
"Thats bullshit." Nick says. "You have them 4 days I have them three and last week of the month I have them the whole week."
