Chapter 17

Mason's POV

Life was different and needed adjustments as Nick now had a baby and moved out. The house was a bit fuller because Chyna still lived here and now Melanie moved in because her apartment is a mess. Collin appeared once a while. Nick and him were cordial especially since he is a major factor how we found Nick.

Business was great. We had no problems at all. No enemies popping out. No war going on and most importantly everything was fine for once.

I walk into the kitchen where Cleo and CJ were almost fucking eachother.

"Excuse me- do y'all mind me watching or?"

"Shut up." CJ laughs letting go of Cleo. "We got shit to do today." Cleo says sitting down. "Were married in 2 weeks time."

"So wait- you flying everyone out? You got like more siblings than me. I got a lot of siblings."

"Yep. Father. Siblings. My grandparents and my dad comes from a large family too. My uncles and aunts. My cousins."

"Well damn."

"Who you inviting?" I ask Cleo. "You guys- Omar. My new sisters. Your siblings. Your parents. My best friend from Chicago."

"No Salma?" I ask and she shakes her head. "She did tell me- I got raped by the guy who I thought was my father because I was too pretty for my age or too stupid."

"So thats a no huh?" I say scratching the back of my head. "Its a no for sure."

"So I was thinking what if I wore baby blue." Chyna says walking into the kitchen. "It suits my eye colour. Or shall I wear black with a red lipstick. I'm inspired by Blu's look last night."

"She looked so cute." Cleo says. "Bet they went home and fucked." CJ says and Cleo chuckles.

"Where you going?" I ask Chyna.

"You care because?" She asks smiling at me.

"It was just a question." I say rolling my eyes.

"My friend from middle school is in Manhattan today- so I was like why not go for lunch?"

"Don't bring her back here." CJ says.

"Its a he." She corrects him. I know she was doing it on purpose because she was really trying to show me whats up.

I didnt want to just date Chyna at the moment. Its been some time since my last relationship and I wasn't sure if I was ready again. Naomi's shit was just too much and I felt like I couldnt do it all over again. Especially because if things ended sour Chyna was CJ's sister and I didn't want it to be weird. Funny enough, I had to talk myself out of pursuing Chyna. She was stunning. We hooked up and all but CJ didnt have to know that? I wasnt playing his sister. I told her from the jump I'm not up for a relationship and that I was seeing other girls.

I felt some kinda way she was chilling with some dude but I couldn't have my cake and eat it too?

"Laters." She says leaving. I pretend it doesn't faze me.

"How weird was it to have Blu and Nick around last night?" I say changing the subject. "I know right." Cleo says. "And you guys are moving out soon."

"Were literally moving in down the road?" Cleo says and I chuckle. "Still weird."

"Soon to be just you and Liam since Tim's girlfriends getting an apartment. Now that Jeremy is with his dad and shit."

"When is he back?" I ask
