Mabel's POV

When I woke up, Bill was still in bed with me. He was already awake though and was running his hands through my hair.

"Morning Star," he chimed as he sat up.

"Hey," I yawned as I sat up with him and leaned against his shoulder.

"Did you sleep well?"

"Yeah." I blinked a few times to try to wake up my vision.I slept well, but I still felt tired.

"Dipper's awake," Bill said as he ran his hand through my hair.

"Is he okay?"

"Yeah. He's sore, but he'll be fine."

"Good."

"Do you want to go see him?" I nodded. "Alright then, let's go." We stood up and slid out of the bed, then made our waste the lab.

When we got there, Dipper was moving around, organizing some stuff or something. He looked better, though I could tell it was still painful for him to move.

"Hey Dipstick."

"Mabel!" He ran over to me and pulled me into a hug. "You're okay!"

"Ha!" I laughed and hugged him back. "I could say the same thing." I squeezed him tighter. "Thanks for not giving up on me. I love you."

"I love you too." He let go and pulled away. "Mabel, the deals over. You're safe here now. Everything going to be okay from here on out." I smiled.

"Yeah. Everything's going to get better." I glanced over at Bill whose smile didn't reach his eyes.

"Dipper!" We all spun around to see Ford walking in. "I told you not to get up."

"I'm fine Ford." He tried to raid his arms for emphasis, but hissed in pain and pulled them back down.

"Sure Dipstick." We laughed and Ford walked over to Dipper, checking some the stitches. He continued to ignore my and Bill's presence. "Alright," I slowly said. "I hope you're feeling better Dipstick."

"I am," he smiled. I smiled back, then turned to Bill, who avoided my gaze.

"Let's go," I said quietly. He nodded and we left the lab. I didn't know why, but it seemed like everybody was tense around Ford. I assumed something happened when I was gone. I already knew he didn't like Bill, but it almost seemed like he was mad ad Dipper and I as well.

I shrugged it off though, I didn't have time to think about that.

Bill and I walked back to the attic in silence. When we got there, I turned to him.

"Bill?"

"Star," he replied.

"Part of the deal, was that..." I paused for a moment. "You'd cure me." I looked at him, and saw his face drop. "Bill..."

"I'm sorry." He turned around and walked away.

"What!" I exclaimed and followed him.

"Star..." he turned to face me. "I can't."

"Wh-" I shook my head in disbelief. "But you-"

"I want to!" He cupped the side of my face with his hand. "I really do. But I gave half my energy to Tad, and spent most of the rest poisoning that energy. As of now, I'm basically powerless."

"For how long." I fought to keep the tears in.

"At least a century." I looked away and walked away, bringing a hand over my mouth to muffle my cries.

"Star I am so sorry." Bill walked over and tried to put a comforting hand on my shoulder but I shrugged it off.

"You- y-you s-said- I-you- I-would be b-better, you said you- would-" I turned back around and tried to be angry at him, but all I did was break out crying again.

"Star." He reached around me and pulled me into him. I didn't resist this time. It wasn't his fault. "I'm so sorry. I didn't think it through when I made the deal. I just wanted you to be safe and to get your brother out for you. I'm so sorry." I pulled away from him and tried to take a few shaky breaths, but just ended up crying again.

"What am I supposed to do! I can't keep going through this!"

"Hey!" Bill took my hands and I looked up at him through tear filled eyes. "Yes you can! You can do this, okay. You're with your family now, and they will help you. Now you can just focus on getting better, and not all the demon shit I put you through. Okay." I nodded.

"Okay." He pulled me into a hug. "You're going to be okay. I promise. Everything will be fine from now on."

"Bill,"

"Yes Star?"

"Will you stay with me and help me get better?" I pulled away and looked at his shocked face. "The deal was that you'd cure me. It didn't say anything about magic. If you can't cure me, can you at least stay and help me. Please?" His face went from shocked to happy as he smiled.

"Of course Star, anything for you." I smiled back at him. He brushed his fingers through my hair, pushing it out of the way of my face. I leaned up into him, and he leaned down to me. I know what he put me through, and I know I've had my fill of demons for a life time, but I also knew, that I loved him, so when he kissed me, it wasn't hard to kiss back. I was finally safe. Safe from everything that hurt me. Now it was just me and Bill, and that was how it would always be.

When we pulled away, I looked up into his eyes, and he looked down at me.

"I love you, my Shootingstar." He picked me up so my eyes were level with his and I wrapped my legs around his waist. I laughed and cupped his face with my hands.

"I love you too Bill," I smiled as I pulled him in for another kiss.
