Mabel's POV

Finally, at some point, I stood up from leaning on the door and went to bed. I was tired and need to sleep.

I'm not sure how long I was asleep, but at some point, I felt myself being shaken awake by Bill.

"Star, Star wake up,"

"Hmm," I drowsily mumbled as I shifted in bed and looked up at him. I Blinked a few times to regain my vision and saw Bill standing at the foot of my bed.

"Star," he whisper yelled as he shook me awake.

"What?" I drowsily answered, slowly sitting up.

"I need power." At this point, I woke up fully and saw him clearly. His face turned from glowing yellow to a dull gray. His eye color was no longer gold, and now gray as well. His bags under his eyes were a shade darker than the rest of his face and by his expression, it looked like it was painful to stand.

"Um, yeah sure," I quickly answered and fully sat up. He closed his eyes like he was about to take power from me, but instead of disappearing into my head this time, he fell over on the ground. "Bill!" I yelled and jumped down to help him. "Bill! Wake up!" I knelt next to him and lifted his head onto my lap. "Bill! Bill please!" I cupped his face in my hands. He wasn't moving. I checked his pulse. He wasn't breathing. Wait do demons breathe? I was about to jump up and find something to help but saw his eyes flutter open. "Bill, are you okay?!"

"I-yeah-" he said in a pained voice.

"What can I do?" I was starting to panic.

"Just- s-stay here with me." His voice was strained and his eyes quickly shut again. "I'll be fine," he breathed and then went quiet again. So I just sat there silently crying, holding his head in my lap stroking his hair while tears streaked my cheeks. I scooted closer to my bed and leaned against it to get more comfortable. I kept one hand on his hair, and one on his chest to feel his heart beat.

Huh? He does have a heart.

Bill's POV

I ran into Star's room when I realized I couldn't wait until she was awake. I tried to wait, but I was too far drained. I burst in and tried to shake her awake. She mumbled and sat up.

"Star, I need power." She mumbled yes and sat up to let me. I tried to go into her mind, but I blacked out.

I forced myself to open my eyes again, and when I did, my head was in her lap and her eyes were brimming with tears.

"Bill!" she cried. "Bill are you okay?"

"I-yeah-" I managed out though it hurt to move or speak. She seemed like she was on the verge of an anxiety attack so I tried to calm her down.

"What can I do?"

"Just- s-stay here with me," I managed out. "I'll be fine." Though I wasn't really sure. I just needed to make her think that, so she would be okay. I closed my eyes again and felt myself drift away. Her hand was running through my hair and her other hand was resting on my chest. It felt oddly comforting. Before I could do anything I started drifting into the mindscape.

When I was completely in the minds cape, I felt someone else's presence.

"Tad. I should have known," I growled and turned around to meet him.

"Aww Bill, don't sound so sad to see me," he chimed. "I thought we were friends."

"Until you left me hanging during Weirdmeggedon," I seethed, clenching my fists. I didn't like him being here. I didn't trust him.

"That was unintentional," he smiled innocently and waved his hand.

"Sure," I rolled my eyes. "Why are you even here?" I was getting pissed at him.

"What? I can't come to help you?"

"How?" I growled.

"Well, I see you're low on power and thought you needed help." He smirked

"Help me? Yeah, because that what you do," I replied sarcastically.

"No, really. Of course on one condition." He gestured with his hand.

"There it is." I rolled my eyes and looked away

"What?" he asked innocently

"What the hell do you even want Strange?" I yelled, snapping my head back.

"I'll help you if..." He paused to think. "If you invite me over for dinner." He smirked and I squinted my eyes in confusion.

"Dinner?" I asked

"Yeah, just Dinner. And I can meet that cute new slave you have." I growled, remembering he's a perverted asshole.

"Not a chance," I seethed.

"Okay."He smirked. "Then I guess I'll leave now. You probably have what? Five hours left to live until you die from lack of powers."

"Ug," I growled. "Fine." He held out his hand for me to shaking, and I reluctantly took it.

"Pleasure doing business with you. See you tonight." He smirked, then disappeared. I felt a burst of power instantly, then the mindscape began to melt away, and as soon as I could, I looked up in the real world.

I took a moment to realize where I was. He head was still in Star's lap, but she had fallen asleep against her bed. I slowly stood up so I wouldn't wake her, then I picked her up and put her in bed.

As soon as I was done with that, I felt dizzy. Shit, that bastard. Tad gave me just enough energy so I could wake up, not a bit more.

"Cheap dickhead," I mumbled aloud.

I groaned and quickly went into Star's mind to get energy form her. I felt bad because now she would be tired when she woke up, but at least I wouldn't pass out on her.

I jumped into her mind and took the power I needed, which didn't take more than five minutes. I was about to leave when I realized, she was dreaming.

I knew I shouldn't, but I couldn't help it. I went into the dream part of her mind to see what she was dreaming about.

When I found her, she wasn't in the dream, but rather observing. She was standing at the edge of the forest near the Mystery Shack, watching a memory from her child hood. When she and Pinetree came here when they were 15. It was a specific memory of a time when they were playing with water balloons. Except, she wasn't there. It was just Dipper, alone.

"Will I ever see him again?" I gasped realizing she was talking to me. She turned to face me. "I mean, him, like back when it was like this."

"I-" I didn't know what to say. She just gave a bitter laugh.

"It's not like you know. I'm just dreaming." She thinks this is just a dream. "Then again, I probably won't." She looked back at her twin playing without her.

"You might." She shook her head.

"No." I walked around her to face her, though she didn't turn to look at me. Her eyes stayed glued on Dipper. "I won't." I saw tears brimming in her eyes. "I'm just your slave. Not like that matters," she choked out.

I wanted to say something to help, but I couldn't. I shouldn't. I shouldn't even be here, so I quickly left, which was probably an even worse decision.

I re-appeared back in there real world and saw a couple tears streaking her sleeping face. I turned away and left her room. She doesn't want me, and I can't change that.
