Chapter 1: A Sudden Decision

Lucy had woken up at a certain inn she had stayed at. She was now in Crocus. At that time, the sun had already shined brightly. She thought she might have slept late last night. After all, she had waited for Juvia to arrive. But, not even a shadow of the water mage was visible. "What could've happened to her?" She anxiously thought to herself. She clearly told Juvia to follow her in the afternoon, so that they can meet at the train station in Crocus.
Minutes have already passed as Lucy thought about Juvia, before, she decided to take a shower.
Inside the bathroom, the water had kept dripping on her porcelain-like skin as she checked on her hand, where a pink guild mark was formerly imprinted.
"Now that it is gone, there's just no turning back." She told herself, determined to pursue whatever she was planning.
When she had finished taking a shower, she put on her clothes and took two maps from her backpack. One is a map of Fiore, the other, is that of a certain kingdom. She placed the other map back inside her bag, then laid the map of Fiore plainly on the table, examining it with her index finger, pointing at
certain locations on the map.
From what master had said in his announcement, Natsu and Gray were
last seen in Davos city, a place that was formerly part of Oak town. However, the information was made 7 months ago.
Apparently, for Lucy, it was a helpful information, and that's where she would be heading to.
From Crocus, there was no train ride to get to Oak town so, Lucy had rented a carriage as a means of transportation to get there.
The ride to that town from Crocus was a tiresome 2-hour travel. Luckily, she had brought in with her some sandwiches from the mini hotel she had slept at, over the night.
The ride went from 2 hours to almost 3. The carriage got one of its wheels broken almost halfway to their destination. Then, at last, she had finally arrived. Slight exhaustion began to linger inside her body.

"Bus ride to Davos, bus ride to Davos!" Lucy heard as she was strolling along town. She had to admit, the town is bigger than what she thought. And looking at the establishments, she could say that the town is somewhat rich.

"Miss, are you heading to Davos?"
A black man who stood outside a large vehicle, whom Lucy expected to be the bus asked in a hasty, but polite
manner.

"Davos, as in Davos city?" Lucy queried back reassuringly.

"Well miss, I guess there ain't any Davos other than the one I said." The man responded, still, in a polite tone, but his facial expression showed mockery as he creased his brows and chewed his lips to suppress a huge grin on his face as if he had thought Lucy as stupid for asking that kind of question.
"Alright, where can I get my ticket?" She managed to ask without getting embarrassed.
"Right here, miss. Fifty cents for the ticket. The man spoke, presenting the tickets to Lucy.

"...Ccents?! But I only have jewels...!" Lucy felt anxious with the thought of having to use another currency aside from jewels, indeed, she wasn't familiar with the place she's in.

"No worries, miss. There's a money changer there not more than twenty steps from you. Just go over that post and turn right. You can find a booth that says MONEY CHANGER. One jewel is equal to 100 cents, Alright?" The black man informed Lucy, much to her relief.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The bus had arrived at 10:17 in the morning. The driver was right with the time; the ride to Davos is 40 minutes, and she had left the town at 9:31. Davos is a big city. It's even more
impressive than the Oak town itself.
No wonder the city doesn't want to be part of Oak town anymore, Lucy had thought. She was amused by how the huge commercial space has been centered by gigantic trees, shading it entirely by the heat of the sun.

It was already past 11, and Lucy was getting hungry. She had walked along
the busy streets of Davos, then,
she noticed that the people were hooked up into whatever activities they have been doing. Others were chit-chatting with their companions,
and most of them were busy attending their own shops. The surroundings made her feel stranger to the place, but, regardless of her feelings, she had completely set her mind to stay in Davos, until she could find clues on where to find her lost friends.
After an hour of finding a place to eat, she was able to spot a casual restaurant. She strolled off towards its direction when she had found a small crowd of people, gathering on one of the street corners like there was a commotion that took place within the area. This sparked Lucy's interest, as she had walked towards the crowd and asked one of the people who stood there.
"Excuse me, may I know what happened here?"

"There was a robber. He had always been stealing money and other kinds of stuff several times already." A short man, but a little taller than Makarov told Lucy. He had a little beard, probably a man in his 50's. Despite his age and height, his body
is physically fit.
"Good thing,  a guy without a shirt knocked him out of his senses. Hi, my name's Yohan." A teenage boy suddenly intervened her conversation with the old man. He had a tan skin and a height that's probably an inch taller than Natsu.
"Have some manners you brat!" The old man scolded the lad. "I'm sorry miss, my grandson was just overwhelmed by the situation." The man had apologized to Lucy. But, Lucy was taken into deep thinking at the mention of the guy without a shirt, and she wasn't paying attention. Could it be? She silently asked herself.

"Where's the guy now?" She suddenly blurted out, urging the young guy to give out more information.
"You mean the robber? He was now brought to jail." Yohan replied.

"No... I mean the guy without a shirt."
