WAY - Chapter 9

Selena's POV

"Welcome kids. I hope you all had a great summer" Mrs. Patterson smiled making everyone cheer. "Alright well we actually have two new students in our school so why don't you two introduce yourselves" she smiled looking over to me and Jason. Yeah, Jason is in my first period. Fun right? Same with Demi, Ryan and Ariana.

Jason stayed quiet so I decided to speak up. "Well, my name is Selena Gomez, I'm from Grand Prairie, Texas, and I like to sing" I smiled at my sudden confidence. Well, like Demi said, people like confidence. It was hard0 but I knew I had to get the hang of it eventually. "And you?" Mrs. Patterson said looking at Jason who just kept his head down.

"Very well. Class, that is Jason Dale" she said waving her hand towards him before going over to the computer and started going over irrelevant class regulations.

"Ugh finally history is over" Demi groaned as we walked out of first period. "What's your next class? Ariana asked me. "Science with Mr. Cooper" I told her and Ryan smiled. "I'm guessing we having class together?" I asked him and he nodded quickly making me laugh. (an haha yes sheldon cooper is the science teacher shhhh)

"Best part, Chaz is in it too" he smiled before wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "Come on bestie. We have some chemistry to make" he winked at me before waving goodbye to Demi and Ariana making me laugh.

"Alright sit where ever you'd like, except for there. That's my spot" Mr. Cooper said once everyone was in class as he pointed to his desk at the front. I looked at Ryan and Chaz confused before Chaz spoke. "Cooper is this complete weirdo but he can be pretty funny sometimes" he explained making me laugh at his explanation.

"Alright girly, you're sitting between us" Ryan said as he sat down at the end of a row of 3 desks. Before I could even sit down, I felt an arm wrap around my waist. "Sorry fellas, but she's sitting with me this period" I deep voice said, I looked up to see a really cute guy smirking down at me.

I opened my mouth to say something before he took my hand in his and pulled me over to the other side of the class and pulled out a chair for me to sit. I looked back at Ryan and Chaz and with a confused look on my face which they both returned. Hesitantly, I sat down next to the cute boy.

"So how you liking school so far?" the guy whispered as Mr. Cooper started to go off on a theory he discovered over the summer. "Umm it's a-alright I guess. It's still school though" I groaned jokingly making him laugh. Damn stutter. "You're funny. I like that" he smirked making me smile. Even though it wasn't that funny.

"I haven't properly introduced myself, name's Dylan" he smiled sticking his hand out for me to take, which hesitantly, I did. "Selena" I smiled once I pulled my hand away. "I know who you are. You're in my first period" he winked at me and I couldn't help but feel my cheeks heat up.

Justin's POV

"I know who you are. You're in my first period" Dylan winked at Selena making her blush. Ugh. I just wanna kill him! He has a girlfriend yet he's leading Selena on! Fucking dick.

Wait, why do I care? I don't like Selena. "Yes you do" my subconscious said. "No I don't!" I yelled back. "Excuse me?" Mr. Cooper asked. Shit. "Nothing. Sorry sir" I mumbled burring my head into my sweater sleeves.

"Loser!" I heard someone cough. Asshole.  

I can't like Selena. I don't like anyone. I don't care about anyone. "Yes you do" Oh fuck off.

"So, what are you doing tonight?" I heard Dylan say. Please don't be talking to Selena. "Umm, I-I don't know yet, what did you have in mind?" Selena's voice rang through my ears. Fucking hell. "Well I'm throwing a party for 'first day back in school' and I thought you might want to come" he said. Ugh please say no. "Sure. S-sounds like fun" God damn it.
