Justin's POV
Me and Selena has been sitting in my basement for over an hour working on some sort of math thing where you graph equations and make some sort of boomerang thing with them and honestly I'm confused as fuck.
This entire time she was trying to explain one single thing to me and I just couldn't get it. Well for what she knows. I got it after 15 minutes of her explaining it but I just acted confused as fuck just so she could stay longer.
Out of no where, her phone began to ring and I couldn't help but groan.
"Hey babe" great, of course it's Donald. Or was it Dylan? Whatever. "No I'm just sitting in my room why?" she lied incredibly, even I wanted to believe her. "Wait why? What?" she suddenly sat up straight obviously confused. "Oh. Ok see ya" she muttered before ending the phone call and began to panic.
"Catch me up here" I spoke up as she paced back and forth in front of me. "Dylan's on his way to pick me up and I'm here and oh my god" she said quickly continuing to pace around the room. "Just walk over to your house before he gets here" I told her simply only to earn a glare.
"He's down the road idiot! He's going to see me" she snapped. Wow someone's bitchy. "Go through the back then" I suggested making her face light up like a Christmas tree. "Great idea alright see you tomorrow Jason" she said before grabbing her books and raced up the stairs leaving me there on the couch staring at the stairs, finding myself wishing she hadn't have left.
"Fuck!" I shouted chucking my book across the room, knocking over a picture of my little brother and sister than was sitting on one of the shelves. I quickly ran over to it before taking the frame into my hands and looked at the picture of the two on the swings smiling wide.
If only I could smile like that.
Selena's POV
"Hey" Dylan smiled sweetly as I opened the door trying not to make it obvious that I was running. He was literally pulling into my driveway just as I was hopping over Jason's backyard fence. It's a good thing I'm athletic.
"Hey" I smiled back as he quickly grabbed my hips, pulling me closer to him before he pressed his lips to mine. "Come on. I wanna take you out somewhere" he said as he pulled away shortly after. He took my hand in his before gently tugging me over to his car.
"Where are we going?" I asked him once we got out of my neighborhood and onto the main streets of Stratford. "Surprise" he smirked over at me making me groan. "I'm not even dressed though" I pouted looking down at my navy blue skinny jeans that ripped at my knees and my white spaghetti strapped top the flowed out at the end.
"You look great" Dylan smiled taking my hand in his and intertwined our fingers making me smile but I couldn't help but feel like it wasn't enough. Maybe I just had something on my mind and I couldn't really fingure it out. Whatever I won't think much of it.
"Tell me a secret" Dylan spoke up suddenly. "What?" I laughed at his randomness. "Tell me a secret. Come on, I'll tell you mine" he smirked over at me before looking back at the road. I thought for a minute before speaking up. "I don't know" I said simply. What was I supposed to tell him?
You're my first boyfriend.
You were my first kiss.
I wear ugly glasses that make me look like a nerd.
I used to be bullied back in Texas.
I'm a huge nerd that has to tutor the loser who looks like a nerd but is actually really bad at math but he's really cute and can sing and has perfect abs and an amazing smile.
Wait what?
"What?" Dylan asked me looking confused making me confused. "What?" I asked him. "You said 'wait what?'. 'Wait what' what?" he questioned making me chuckle at the way he said it. "Sorry I was just thinking" I told him.
"About?" he questioned still wearing that smirk of his. "About how sexy my boyfriend is" I finally smirked back. "Oh really? Is he more sexier than me? Do I have some ass to kick?" he asked looking over at me and I knew he was joking around so I decided to play along.
"Oh yeah. I'm pretty sure everyone's sexier than you. Even that loser in our class Jason is sexier than you" I smirked at him only to hear him gasp. "What was up with you and him earlier anyways?" he asked me making the conversation take a huge turn.
"I had a cousin who used to get bullied for no reason and I just didn't want you to bully someone for no reason. I mean if you have a reason then by all means go ahead but" I trailed off hoping he wouldn't make me talk anymore.
"What if I had a reason?" he suddenly asked. "Well what's your reason?" I asked him praying it wouldn't be something stupid. "It's just, I don't know! He's the new kid and I wanted to do something to make him look like a loser" he shrugged before letting a small laugh as if it was funny.
Once he noticed I didn't laugh, but only give him a glare, he spoke up. "Why do you care about him so much?" he asked. "I don't care about him Dylan! I just, forget it" I sighed before we pulled up in front of a restaurant.
"I was going to take you out for a nice dinner but I'm guessing you're not really in the mood anymore" he sighed taking his hand away from mine before looking down at his lap. "You need to leave him alone Dylan. You never know, he could easily be planning his death right now" I snapped at him, ignoring his statement.
"Why do you care if he kills himself?" he suddenly snapped, I let out a gasp. "How can you be so damn selfish and not even care if someone killed themselves?" I snapped back. "Forget it. I'll see you later" I sighed before opened the door and got out of his car, preparing for my walk home.
"Selena wait!" I heard Dylan call out behind me. "At least let me drive you home" he yelled out. "I'm fine but thanks" I called back giving him a short wave only to hear him groan and then a small thud.
Continuing to walk down the streets, thinking about what Dylan said in the car. How could he not care if someone took their own life because of him? How would he feel if I told him that was me at one point? Would he even care?
I was snapped out of my train of thoughts as I felt something fall on my forehead. Great. Rain.
Sighing, I looked around before my eyes landed on a Tim Hortons across the street. Looking both ways of course, I jogged across the street just as the rain began to pour before entering the coffee shop.
Mind as well get some something to eat.
"Medium french vanilla supreme and a chocolate glazed donut please" I ordered once I walked up to the counter. The place was pretty dead except for the few people already sat down by the window watching the rain pour down. Once I turned to my side with my coffee and donut in my hands, I was now facing the pink haired girl I once called my best friend.
"Selena" Demi spoke monotonously. "Demi" I replied the same way. "Can we talk?" I sighed as she turned to walk away making her stop dead in her tracks. "Are you going to accuse me of being jealous?" she snapped turning to face me once again.
"No" I answered simply and it was now her turn to sigh. She nodded her head slightly before turning back around and headed over to a table where I followed her. "So what's up?" she asked once we sat down with our coffees.
hmm I wonder what they're gonna talk about o.O
