I felt the need to post this even though it's not brilliant as Simon imagines are all I've posted for ages. the first half if good and then it flops after that.

Side note: I have no firsthand experience so I don't know how accurate this is; hopefully that doesn't matter.

My eyes fluttered open and closed at the sight of very bright white lights; I let my eyes adjust slowly. I then started to prop myself up in the reclined chair only to find the sides of my mouth aching and quite numb as my orientation started to return. A pair of hands gently rested on my back, helping me to sit up. My head flopped forward, lolling about my neck before kind hands grasped onto my cheeks and neck, supporting me. The person, whose hands were gripping me, moved directly in front of me now allowing me to their generous face and they perched on the side of my chair.

I don't know if it was the air they had given me or a part of me that was undiscovered, but as soon as I saw Chris my right hand pathetically swept the air close to him but missed. As I realised my failed attempt, a slurred moan flowed from my frozen lips. I saw his lips separate a few millimetres and I very faintly heard "awww", in a helpless yet sweet tone.

Before I could try and respond a woman, presumably the doctor, in a whole white outfit turned to me. She presented me with ice packs in both hands; then she proceeded to raise my jelly arms to my cheeks, making my hands grip the bags and put pressure onto my cheeks. "This will help with the swelling on your gums", she professionally announced. After she'd stepped away Chris took the ice from me, holding the bags in his hands for me; I relaxed my hands onto my lap.

"How long does (Y/N) need to use the ice for?" Chris asked on my behalf.

"Only for a few minutes at most as the gums will heal overtime and the gauzes will help a little, along with preventing anymore bleeding." After she'd finished talking Chris nodded, thanking her, and then turned his attention back to me. I could see some strain written across his head even though he was trying to hide it.

Talking through a numb mouth, I eventually managed to get out a sentence, "you don't need to worry Chris, we can go home soon and I'll recover perfectly fine". It came out ecstatically and not as slurred as I had thought thankfully. He tried to mask his smile but gave up eventually and let it through, closely followed with a giggle.

"I've stopped worrying now, so don't you start worrying", he said whilst smiling and still keeping his gaze on me before he placed it on the doctor. "How long until we are allowed to leave?" He asked politely.

"In a minute or two when (Y/N)'s head has cleared up a bit more from the air, but it won't be too long. She already seems almost as cheery as she was before," the doctor informed an eager Chris. He once again gave a pleased nod before instantly turning back to me where I saw that one of his legs was bouncing up and down a little. I still didn't believe he had completely stopped worrying so I gently placed a hand onto his knee and rubbed my hand across; he looked down at my hand, then back up to my face with a small but grateful smile making me attempt a smile through my numbness. His leg stopped bobbing up and down, just wobbling a little now.

A few minutes drove by at a snail's pace but after those minutes were up we were allowed to finally leave. I left the ice packs behind, keeping only the gauzes, and started to drag myself outside. Chris had made my left arm rest over his shoulders and he'd placed his right arm around my back, helping me to hobble. With my free right arm I glided it along the wall for as long as possible for extra support as I didn't want to fall over and make a scene. We slowly made it out into the corridor where my foot twisted over making me dip.

"I've got you", Chris told me as his arms strongly gripped around my torso dragging me back up. Once I'm standing back up straight, I turn to see Chris's eyes already fixed to me and when we notices me looking a smile appears across his mouth. I try to mimic his lips but fail helplessly, it makes him giggle though and very shortly after his lips softly connect with my forehead; I wanted to kiss him back so badly but my lips were still numb and useful and the thought of it brought some water to my eyes.

I saw Chris's face droop a little after seeing my pathetic emotions but his hands sympathetically squeezed my sides gently and he caught me glancing upon his lips. He moved one of his arms fully around my back, sliding his other arm out and delicately brushing my lips with his fingers, presumably removing a small patch of blood off my lips. He wiped his fingers down on his shirt before taking hold of my cheek and kissing my lips meaningfully.

He shortly pulled back, not really looking me in my eyes after- only briefly before he retook care of me again, advancing to the car park. He opened the passenger side door for me; he then helped lower me down into the seat and before closing the door he pecked my forehead lightly. I tried to smile and he smiled back.

Chris drove us back to our flat once he'd gotten in the car. I had now regained some balance so I was almost able to walk by myself now but Chris insisted by walked very closely to me with an arm around me in case I needed support. Once we got inside the flat we walked straight over to the sofa, flopped down and sunk into the leather. I rested my head onto Chris's shoulder where he then started to run his fingers through my hair. I closed my eyes, enjoying the peacefulness between us, and not opening them till the next day as I fell asleep in his embrace.

Hope you enjoyed and next week will be better.
