This fucking sucked. I stood in front of my new school absolutely dreading entering into it. My mom breaks up with her boyfriend and then BOOM we move to a new city. Wasn’t like this was the first time we randomly moved somewhere. There was a vicious cycle. Mom got a douche boyfriend, mom stayed with boyfriend for a while, mom breaks up with boyfriend, my life is uprooted and I find myself living somewhere new. It really sucked.
I didn’t bother making friends any more, how long was I going to be here anyway? A year tops? Mom’s relationship’s had been getting shorter and shorter, which meant I was moving more and more.
I took a deep breath and walked into the building. Everyone kept staring at me, but I didn’t care. I was there to ‘learn’ not make friends.
I found the office and went in a got my schedule. My schedule was ridiculous. Half my classes were way too hard for me, and the other half was way too easy. Clearly when my mom signed me up for classes she had been upset.
I walked to my first class: art. I didn’t even fucking like art. In fact, I hated it. Mom knew that. What the fuck.
I took a seat in the back of the room and counted down the minutes until the bell rang dismissing class.
Luckily the teacher ignored me and didn’t do that awkward thing where they introduce new students. I just sat in the back happily staring at the floor.
My deep concentration was ruined when someone came barging through the door 20 minutes late. His uniform was a wreck and he looked majorly hung over. The teacher yelled at him for another 20 minutes and gave him a detention. He came strolling over and sat down next to me. I kept staring at him.
“Like the view.” He said cockily, raising one eyebrow.
I rolled my eyes and ignored him, staring at the ground again.
“It’s rude to ignore people, you know,” he said. He didn’t even look at me when he said it.
“And you should take a hint when someone doesn’t want to talk to you.” I shot back, annoyed.
“Sassy, are we?” He winked, “I like sassy. My name’s Taylor.”
“Great.” I said and stared at the back of the kid sitting in front of me and blew a bubble with my gum.
Taylor laughed, “I like you.” He got up from his chair and just flat out left in the middle of class. My teacher tried to stop him, but he kept on walking. Before he exited out the door he looked over his shoulder and winked at me. Ugh.
I had to admit, he was pretty hot, but his ego was suffocating.
