I woke up to feel the full impact of not having a full night’s sleep. My eyes were swollen; I had a headache, my muscles and most of all I was in a shitty mood. As I detangled myself from my bed and began to hobble my way over to the bathroom I saw that Taylor was still passed out and still in the exact same position he was a few hours ago.

I kicked the bed trying to wake him up. “Taylor, get up. We have to leave for school soon.” He didn’t budge at all. His eyes different even flutter. Damn he was out cold. “Taylor,” I said again louder as I kicked the bed. That still didn’t work. I bent down and grabbed onto his leg shaking him, “Get the fuck up.”

He groaned and flipped over in the bed, “Leave me alone I just broke my arm yesterday, stop being a bitch and let me sleep.”

“Fuck you,” I said as I stood up and made my way to the bathroom. I was not in the mood to put up with his shit today.

He chuckled a little, “You know you want to.” I slammed the door and proceeded to get ready.

When I emerged from the bathroom a little while later Taylor was sitting up in the bed and rubbing his eyes. Shit, he looked even worse than I did. When he looked up and saw that I was out of the bathroom he got up quickly and pushed passed me, closing the door behind him.

After I changed into my clothes I sat down on the edge of my bed tapping my foot waiting impatiently for him. If we didn’t leave in the next 5 minutes we were for sure going to be late.

Taylor finally came out of the bathroom and he looked really pissed off about being awake. “Where’s my sling?” he asked.

“How am I supposed to know? You threw it somewhere last night,” I replied.

He rolled his eyes, and with his one good arm he started throwing my stuff around my room looking for it. I just sat there and let it happen, I was too tired to even bother trying to stop him.

He eventually found it but he had absolutely no idea how the hell to put it on. “Do you need some help?” I asked.

“No I got it,” he replied as he continued to struggle.

I couldn’t stand to see him struggling so pathetically so I stood up and helped him. “Are you ready to go now, princess?” I asked once we finally got the whole sling thing figured out.

“Are you ready to go?” he asked.

“Yeah, I’ve been ready,” I answered.

He shrugged, “Then what’s the hold up, let’s go.” He turned and left my room without another word. I was so done with him.

We spent the entirety of the short walk to school in silence. I think we were just both too tired to bother. When we walked through the front doors Taylor went off a separate way and I went to go find Cam.

“Hey, beautiful,” he said as I walked up to him.

“Hey,” I replied and then quickly kissed him.

He interlocked his hand with mine and we started walking to class. “How did everything go with Taylor last night?”

I rolled my eyes dramatically, “It went.”

“Did you see my mom?” he asked.

I shook my head, “No, but it was really busy so I’m sure she was probably all tied up.”

He stopped in the hall and sighed, “I am so sorry about having to bail like that, I just couldn’t… I can’t keep putting my mom through the ringer like I have in the past. It’s just not fair.”

I couldn’t help but smile, “You’re so sweet, Cameron Dallas.”
