I sat in Cam’s car with him as he drove to his house and I couldn’t help but smile. I could see myself falling into this routine and being ‘Cameron’s Girlfriend’. I really liked the way that sounded.

He looked over at me with a slight glint in his eye, “You’ve been quiet, what are you thinking about?”

I marveled at his profile and his perfectly plump lips. “Mostly you,” I answered honestly.

His perfectly plump lips formed into a smile, “I hope it’s only good things.”

“Maybe, maybe not. You’ll never know,” I teased.

We pulled into his drive way and he leaned over the console so close that our lips were centimeters apart. “That’s not very nice.”

His breath tickled my lips and as soon as I started to close the gap between us he jerked away. “That’s not very nice,” I said.

He shrugged, “What can I say, karma’s a bitch.”

I rolled my eyes and got out of the car. I was really digging this whole flirty banter thing between the two of us. “Is your mom home?” I asked as we walked in through the front door.

“Nah, she’s at work all day. We have the whole house to ourselves.” He turned and looked at me and I instantly knew we both had the same idea.

I dropped my bag on the floor just as he put his wrapped his around my neck and pulled me in for a kiss. Just as the heat was starting to pick up between us Cameron’s front door flew open.

“Oh shit guys sorry, we really have to stop running into each other like this,” Taylor said not looking to terribly sorry about having interrupted.

Cameron rolled his eyes at me and then looked at Taylor. “What the hell do you want, Tay? We’re kind of in the middle of something here.”

Taylor waved it off like it was no big deal, “Anyways, Nash called and apparently something’s going down at the skate park.”

“What do you mean ‘something’?” I asked. This was all very sketchy.

Cameron groaned, “We’ll take my car, come on lets go.”

“What the hell’s going on?!” Both of them completely ignored my question as I was shuffled out the door and back into Cameron’s car.

Cameron turned back around to Taylor and said, “If it’s those fucking Jack kids again I’m gonna lose it and someone’s going to pay. I fucking hate them so much. They think they own the place.”

“Don’t worry bro I got your back if things go south,” Taylor said. I looked back at him and he looked like he was getting ready for battle or some shit.

“Who are the Jack kids? Why does that sound like a gang?” I asked desperate for some fucking answers.

“They’re not a gang,” Cam explained, “It’s just these two guys, Jack Johnson and Jack Gilinsky, who think they’re hot shit.”

Taylor leaned forward between the two seats to join in. “They are constantly picking fights with us over the stupidest shit.”

“So why do you let them get to you? If it’s so stupid why don’t you just walk away?”

Taylor signed, “Carson, Carson, Carson, it’s not that simple. You see were men so it doesn’t work that way.”

I looked up at Cam for a better answer, but he just nodded in agreement with Taylor.
