I sunk back into my scarlet pillows in shock.  Kettle talked about how she followed us and how I acted.  I was honestly shocked.  I never cried in front of anyone.

"But following you ended horribly," Kettle pouted; coming to the end of her story.  "The only thing he did was tuck you in.  How disappointing!  From the looks of it, you passed out from drinking too much."

She smirked.  "You remind me of Will."

I felt solace in comfirming I didn't sleep with Greg.  I also confirmed what Kettle ment by I passed out.  My head was pounding, everything was too bright, and I felt like throwing up all my internal organs.

My mother once described these symptoms as a hangover after she drunk too much one night.  I only had two drinks.  That stuff must have been very potent I tried reassuring myself.

Kettle, who had been looking at me with worried eyes held out her hand.  "Here, I brought you something."  I sat up and looked at the two green tablets in her hand.

"Will takes these when he gets a hangover," she shrugged, "Which is most of the time."

"Thanks," I said with my best smile.  I accepted the tablets.  I swallowed both one at a time and almost instantly felt better.  "Wow..." I mummbled.  My headache and stomach stopped spining but everything still seemed a little too bright.

Kettle patted my knee and stood.  "Come on.  It's time for you to meet the Intelligence portion of our mob."

I leaned away.  "I don't want to."

Kettle grabed my hand and pulled me along with her down the hall.  "Oh, stop!  Don't be so scared.  You are the new Jade now so your job is to know everything about everyone.  Even...myself."

Information about everyone?  Does the mob really do that?

Kettle and I walked in a sad silence for awhile after that.  Neither speaking.  What is up with this depressing atmosphere? I wondered.

Kettle spoke up in a wispear as we neared a dark wood door.  "I hope...you will remain my friend once you know..."

"What was that," I asked.  As we stopped in front of the dark door Kettle smiled gently at me.  Her smile reminded me of my sister's smile.  Kettle's smile did not reach her eyes though.  Infact; there was a deep saddness there.

"Here you are June!  Good Luck," Kettle said before jogging away.

"Wait!  Are you ok..." I trailed off as she went around the hall's cornor.  I hope she is ok I thought.  I turned towards the large door and cringed.  "Why me," I mummbled.

As I grab the gold nob and walked into the dark room I was thinking of how much this seemed like a horror movie.  I let the door slowly shut behind me.  The room was hot, wires hung everywhere, and buttons of all diffrent shapes and colors glew.  I could barly see what was infront of me but I could see a light coming from beyond the curtain of wires.

"Wow.  Was not expecting this," I said completly baffled.

"Ah!  June.  Welcome to the Informant Room," Rachel's voice echoed.

"Rachel?," I asked outloud pushing my way through all the wires.  Once through I came to the source of the small source of light.

An open room with monitors hanging up on the two walls.  Below them, people worked tediously on computers.  Four people on the left and four on the right I took note.  I also took note Rachel wasn't one of the eight people.

But, then again, the room was still pretty dark with only the monitors light to illuminate the room.

"There you are my dear!," Rachel said walking out of one of the dark cornors.  Me and along with the eight people froze.  I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"H-hello, Rachel," I said.

"You look troubled dear.  Are you nervous?"

"Yeah."  You could say that I thought.

"No need to be nervous!  This is your minions- I mean co-workers," Rachel said, correcting herself mid sentence.

"Who is this girl Lady Boss," a small childs voice said to my left.  A boy sat in the seat nearest to me.  His hair was bright blonde, and he had vivid blue eyes that made him seem older than what he was.  The boy had to be at least ten years old though; with his eyes or not.

Rachel smiled at the boy, "This is the new Jade, Jim.  Her name is June Kerryson."

"How do you know my last name-"

"This is no time to be training a new Jade, Lady Boss!  We are in the middle of an emergency," Jim said cutting off my question.

"What happened?," I asked Jim.

He leered at me.  "What's it to you?"

I had to resist the urge to back slap him with my hand.  To my joy the woman behind him smack his blonde head.

"I am truly sorry new Jade.  Jim is a bit annoying at times but he means well and is the best hacker we have," the woman says as she stood up and bowed a little.

"This is Maddie Vermonty," Rachel says with a bright smile, "She is our most trusted Computer Filer.  She is best friends with Greg and William since they were little.  Closest thing to a daughter I ever came too."  Rachel winked at Maddie, "Maybe yet she will become one."

Maddie remained silent to the comment.  "Hello," I said more quiet than I ment to.  She was a thin woman who had curves like an hour-glass.  Her brown hair fell around her shoulders perfectly ; she was practicly yelling feminine beauty.  I had to admit, I was nithing compared to her.

Im fine with that though.  I take pride in what I was blessed with.  But as I clutched my heart with my hand a thought went through my head.

But then why I thought with my heart beat speeding up at the thought of Greg Do i feel this way when I think she is close to Greg?
