Chapter 12: The First Day of School

  "C'mon kids. Wake up" Wanda said as she tried to wake up Mikki and BJ.
As they were sound asleep, they didn't budge.
"Morning Mrs. Rodgers" Mika said as she came in the room.
"Good morning Mika. Any idea on how to wake up BJ and Mikki" Wanda asked.
"I got this" Mika replied.
After using an air horn, they were up.
"Wow. Just wow. That was loud" BJ said as he and Mikki got up.
"Yeah but at least you two lovebirds are up" Wanda said.
"Ugh. I hate waking up early. Why can't summer last forever" Mikki asked.
"Because school is important, dear" Wanda answered.
After eating breakfast and getting their backpacks and lunches ready, they all got on the bus to school.
"Hopefully everything goes well with Alex at MCC" Mika said as she and Mikki sat between BJ.
"I'm sure she'll be fine" Mikki replied.
"Yeah" BJ added.
Once they got to Grand Haven High, they were greeted by some familiar and not so familiar faces.
"Yo Ben. I haven't seen ya in years" a guy said as he noticed BJ.
"Whoa. Brendon? Is that you" BJ asked.
"You know it dude" Brendon answered.
"Hmmmmm.... If you're here then that must mean my other buddies aren't too far behind" BJ said.
"That's right" Brendon replied.
Upon entering the school, Jenna, Ayanna and even Shenzi all greeted BJ and Mikki.
"Thank goodness you guys are enrolled here" Ayanna said as she took BJ's arm.
"Yeah..... Why are you so nervous" Mikki asked.
"Because there's a big guy who's kicking all the Freshman" Ayanna answered.
"Not on my watch" BJ said as he saw the guy picking on a girl who was part cat.
"Hahaha. You look so stupid" he said as he picked on her.
"Stop it" the girl said.
"Are else what" the bully asked.
Just then, BJ and his crew came up to him.
"Allow me to answer that question for you" he said as he tried to punch him.
Without warning, the bully punched BJ and gave him a black eye.
"Ow! That really hurt" he said as Mikki took him to the school nurse.
"What happened" she asked.
"Some big guy punched me and gave me a black eye" BJ answered.
"Big guy?!?!?! Hold on. You mean Justin Williams-Thompson" the nurse said.
"Justin? So that's his name" Bj replied.
"Yeah. He's a junior and his bullying record is the stuff of legend" the nurse said.
"How has he not been expelled" Mikki asked.
"I have no idea" the nurse answered.
After BJ got an ice pack for his black eye, the bell rang and everyone went to class.
"What's your first class, honey" Mikki asked.
"English 11 with Mr. Galmish" BJ answered.
"Sweet. That's my first class too" Mikki said.
Once they got there, they sat together.
"Good morning class" Mr. Galmish said as he walked in the room.
Nobody said a thing.
"Oh come on guys. Not one of you is going to say good morning back" he asked.
"Good morning, Mr. Galmish" they all said at the same time.
"There we go. Now onto attendance" he said as he took attendance.
Once he finished, he handed out a worksheet on famous authors.
"When it comes to teaching high schoolers, I like to have fun. Why? Because I believe that handed out a worksheet on famous authors is a good start" he continued.
After a few more classes, the lunch bell rang.
"Where should we sit" BJ asked.
"I'm not too sure" Mikki answered.
They decide on the table where the cat girl was sitting.
"Oh hi. I'm Mandy" she said as she introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you. I'm BJ and this is my girlfriend, Mikki" BJ said as he introduced himself and Mikki.
"I just wanna thank you for standing up for me" Mandy said as she attempted to kiss BJ.
"Hold it! He's mine" Mikki said she pushed BJ away.
"Sorry. I just think he's cute" Mandy replied.
"That's an understatement" Mikki said as everyone ducked under the table.
"Huh? Why's everyone going under the tables" BJ asked.
"Get down here. They'll see you" Kayli answered.
"Who exactly" BJ asked.
"Some say they came out of the worst part of Michigan" Brendon said.
"They're the worst of all the girls" Annette added.
"Okay. Somebody tell me who they are" BJ said.
"They call themselves the Mean Girl Gang" Mandy replied.
"Check under every table girls. And make sure there are no scrubs at ours" Danni said as she ordered Kendra, Daphne and Sam to check under the tables.
"Danni, Kendra, Daphne and Sam? Oh no. I know them" Mika said as she took BJ's arm.
"Same here" BJ replied.
"Wow. What did they do to you" Shenzi asked.
"They tried to kick us off the beach" BJ answered.
"That's it? It doesn't seem so bad" Shenzi replied.
"Yes but she tried to kill me with the aid of her dumb ex-boyfriend" BJ said.
"Holy cow. That's strange" Shenzi said.
After a very stressful lunch, they went through their final classes and then they got on the bus and arrived at home safe and sound.
"Now that was a first day worth remembering" McKenna said.
"Yeah" Ayanna added.
"There's no denying that" Jenna replied as she and Ayanna walked back home.
Once they got into the mansion, BJ asked McKenna a question.
"So why did you move here" he asked.
"My parents were abusing me" she answered.
"That's just evil" BJ replied.
"Yeah" McKenna said.
"Hey guys. How was school" Cristina asked.
"Well for starters I got punched in the face and got a black eye" BJ answered.
"Yikes. That had to hurt" Cristina replied.
"It did. But the bully has been expelled for causing too much trouble" BJ said.
"Yeah. Now let's just enjoy this homework free evening" Mika replied.
"Good idea.... But first I must do something" Mikki said as she dragged BJ into Smooch City.
"I knew that'd happen" he said.
