Chapter 26: Game Night

  "Alright guys. Are you all ready for game night" BJ asked.
"Totally" Mika answered.
"I've been ready since I got here" Spencer added.
"But you just arrived" BJ replied.
"That's very true" Spencer said.
Just then, Ladonna, Staci and Trina came to the door.
"Come on in guys. We've been waiting for you" Mikki said as she opened the door.
"Thanks gurrrrrrl" Staci said as they walked in.
"Stop saying that" Trina replied.
"This is a free country, gurrrrrl" Staci said.
"Ugh! Nevermind" Trina said.
"Hey. Wait for me" Lena said as she followed behind them.
"Why is Lena here" Mikki asked.
"Our parents forced us to bring her" Trina answered.
"Well our first game is one that will totes bring us back to a simpler time in our lives" Mikki replied.
"What is it" Lena asked.
"Mouse Trap" Mikki answered.
"Oh boy! I love that game" Lena said.
After a few rounds and rotations, the final four players were Ladonna, Spencer, BJ and Lena.
"I call red" BJ said.
"I got green" Spencer replied.
"I'll be yellow" Ladonna said.
"And that means I got blue" Lena said.
During the game, everything was going smooth. That is until the trap was fully built.
"Oh no. I'm on the cheese wheel and one of you is close to the crank space" Lena said as she realized that she was doomed.
"It's just a game" Spencer replied.
"Yes but I guess I should seen this coming from a mile away" Lena said.
Just then, BJ landed on the crank space.
"Here we go" he said as he turned the crank to start the trap.
"Well I'm out" Lena said as the trap came down on her playing piece.
After a very heated game, Spencer won.
"Congrats buddy" BJ said.
"Thanks Ben" Spencer replied.
"Anytime. Now let's get on to a game we can all play without a tournament" BJ said.
"What would that be" Ladonna asked.
"The Ultimate Disney Trivia Game" BJ answered.
"Is that even a real game" Mika replied.
"No but it is a trivia game I personally made using only index cards" BJ said.
"Oh. That's cool" Mika said.
After setting up the room to look like a game show set, Spencer took on the duty of the question reader.
"Is everybody ready" he asked.
"To sing along" Lena replied.
"Hahaha. Very cute, Lena. But what I'm actually asking if everyone is ready to play the game" Spencer said.
"Of course we're ready" Lena answered.
"Alright. This first question is for Mika" Spencer said as he pulled out the first card.
"Fire away" Mika said.
"What is the meaning of A113" Spencer asked.
"That's a tough one. But here's my answer, it's the number of the character animation class at the California Institute of the Arts or CalArts for short" Mika answered.
"Yep. That's right" Spencer replied.
Many questions later, BJ had the most points and was just one answer away from winning the game.
"Okay Ben. This is for the win. Which of the Mouseketeers wanted to change her name before Walt Disney himself persuaded her not to" Spencer asked.
"That's an easy one. It was Annette Funicello" BJ answered.
"Correct. You just won" Spencer said.
"Sweet. We can now move on to our final game of the night" BJ replied.
"And what would that be" Trina asked.
"It's Apples to Apples" BJ answered.
"Oh nice. I love that game" Staci replied.
"I'm not playing it though" Lena said.
"Why not" Trina asked.
"I've been super unlucky all night. It's crazy" Lena answered.
"Okay. You go ahead and sit this one out" Staci said.
Once the cards were dealt, Mikki was the first to be the judge.
"Alright guys. The first word is Phony. False, artificial, imitation" she said as she read the first green apple card.
After each player gave her a card, she turned back around.
"Okay. Let's see here. Alien abductions, Bigfoot, popcorn, salads, Mad Cow Disease and George W. Bush" Mikki said as she read each card.
"Hmmmmmmm....... Whoever had alien abductions, please stand up" she continued.
"That was me" Ladonna said as she stood up.
"Okay. Here you go" Mikki said as she gave her the card.
Ladonna then proceeded to draw another green apple card.
"The word is...... Risky. Hazardous, daring and speculative" she said as she read the card.
Once 6 cards were in front of her, she turned around.
"Hmmmm...... Power tools, informercials, fund raising, a bad haircut, pond scum and body piercing" Ladonna said as she read each of the cards.
"I'll go with informercials" she continued.
"That was me" Mika said.
After a while, Ladonna ended up winning the game.
"Well that was fun" she said.
"Yeah. It was a great night" BJ replied.
