Chapter 19: A Surprising Halloween

  "Ah. Halloween. A time for spooky stuff to shine" BJ said as he and Mikki took a look at the calendar.
"You said it" Mikki added.
After eating breakfast and getting ready for the day, they got a call from Zatanna.
"Hey Zat. What goes on" BJ asked,
"Do you know what day it is" she replied.
"It's Halloween" BJ answered.
"Yes but my birthday is today as well" Zat said.
"Oh. Happy birthday" Mikki replied.
"Thanks. You're invited to my party tonight" she said as she explained everything.
"Cool. When's it start" BJ asked.
"It starts at seven" Zat answered.
"Sweet. We'll be there" Mikki replied.
As they were about to hang up, Zat told them one more thing.
"Wait! It's a costume party" she said.
"Awesomeness. See ya" BJ said as he hung up.
Meanwhile at the Rollins house, Staci and Trina were just about ready for the party.
"I know it's not til seven tonight, but our costumes look great" Trina said as she finished their costumes.
"You know it gurrrrrrl" Staci replied.
Just then, their father came in the room.
"Hold it girls. You have to take your little sister trick or treating" Scott said.
"Why should we? C'mon dad. We had this planned since the first of the month" Trina said.
"Your mom and I don't care. Lena has been looking forward to trick or treating more than your party" Scott replied.
"Ugh! Fine. But next year we're going to Zat's party" Staci said.
As she said that, Lena walked into the room in her costume.
"Yay! We're going trick or treating tonight" she said.
"What are you even supposed to be" Trina asked.
"I'm Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl from Toy Story" Lena answered.
"Cute. But aren't you a bit too old for that? I mean you're eight" Staci replied.
"You're never too old for anything related to Disney and Pixar" she said.
"Fair point" Trina replied.
"What are your costumes" Lena asked.
"I'm a belly dancer" Trina answered.
"And I'm Harley Quinn" Staci added.
"Nice" Lena replied.
Meanwhile, BJ and Mikki just about had their costumes finalized.
"This is gonna be awesome" BJ said.
"Darn right" Mikki replied.
"What are you gonna be" he asked.
"A magician" Mikki answered.
"Nice. I'm going as the Brooklyn Guy from SuperMarioLogan" BJ replied.
"I thought you hated SML" Mikki said.
"Yes but only the awful Jeffy videos" BJ replied.
"Okay" Mikki said.
Upon arriving at the party, they gave Zat her present and entered her house.
"Nice place ya got here" BJ said.
"Thanks. My mom and dad are at a Halloween party. So this place is now party central" Zat said.
"Cool. What's the first thing to do" Mikki asked.
"First of all, let's just set up the tables" Zat answered.
Once everything was set, Jenna, Shenzi and ALT were the next guests to arrive.
"Hey guys. Come on in" Zat said as she let them in.
"Thanks for inviting us" Jenna replied.
"Anytime. What are you guys dressed up as" she asked.
"I'm a cheerleader" Shenzi said.
"I'm a fairy" Jenna added.
"And I'm a witch" ALT replied.
"That's cool" Zat said as more guests came to the door.
After everyone arrived, the party got underway.
"Anybody up for a Marvel VS Capcom Infinite tournament" Zat asked.
"Isn't that the game everyone panned because of the removal of the X-Men" Kat asked.
"Yes but it's still very fun" Zat answered.
"Alright. I'm in" Kat replied.
"Me too" BJ said.
"Okay. All I gotta do is boot up my console" Zat said as she turned on her XBOX One.
On the other side of town, Staci and Trina were taking Lena trick or treating against their will.
"This stinks" Staci said.
"I know. We could be playing the new Marvel VS Capcom at Zat's right now" Trina replied.
"Hey. I'm having fun. So get in a better mood or I'm telling mom about your speeding ticket" Lena said.
"Fine" Staci replied.
Back at the party, BJ was facing off against Jeannie in Marvel VS Capcom.
"I'm totes gonna win" he said.
"I wouldn't get too cocky mate" Jeannie replied.
"You don't scare me" BJ said as he picked Ultron and Black Panther.
"Okay. Be that way" Jeannie said as she picked Dormammu and Thanos.
After the match, she won.
"Dang it. I lost" BJ said.
"Don't worry BJ. You're a winner in my book" Jenna said as she, Mikki and Luanne gave him a hug.
"Thanks" BJ said as he started blushing.
After Zat opened her presents, Mikki and Ginny brought the cake out.
"Alright. I can already tell this cake is gonna be good" BJ said as he lit the candles.
"Yep. Chocolate cake is the best by far" Zat replied.
"That's an understatement" Mikki said.
Once everyone was served, they took a moment to enjoy it.
"This is some great cake" Shenzi said.
"So true" Jenna added.
"Oh yeah. Wal-Mart has the best cakes ever" BJ replied.
After the party was over, everyone went home except for BJ and Mikki because they wanted to help Zat clean up.
"There we go. Everything's all good" Mikki said as she handed BJ the keys to his Subaru.
"Yep. See ya Zat" BJ said as they left.
"Laters" she replied.
After getting home, they decided to go straight to bed.
"Night babe" BJ said as he gave Mikki a kiss on the cheek.
"Oh come here you" she said as she dragged BJ into Smooch City.
Just then, Staci, Trina and Lena finally returned from trick or treating.
"Thank goodness it's over" Trina said.
"Yeah gurrrrrl" Staci replied.
"Whoa. I got a ton of candy" Lena said as she counted all her candy.
"Young lady, you check all the candy. You never know if any of it could just be razor blades" Scott replied.
"Daddy, when has that ever happened. You're just freaking out over nothing" Lena said.
"I guess you're right. Wait why'd I just agree with a third grader" Scott said.
"Well I'm off to bed" Trina replied.
"Right behind ya" Staci added.
