Authors note: this will be a long and sad chapter. WARNING

Chapter thirty-three

Kristen's POV: it was about three in the after noon and I got a text for Avery.

'Hey girl! Wanna come over to my house to hang? We might go to the lake near my house. Please join along I don't wanna be stuck with my brother.'

'Sure I'll have to ask my parents first.'

'Ok! Text me back as soon as they answer you.'

I get up and walk out of my room. "Mom! Where are you?" I go into the hallway and see her in the kitchen. "Right here!" She says. I take a seat at the counter table. "So, Avery wants to know if I can go to the lake with her." I say folding my hands together. I don't know what the answer will be I just hope for a yes. It's silent for a minute and then Alli speaks, "fine you can go," I smile at her, "BUT you have to be home before dinner, which will be six ok." I nod and hug her. "I have to go get ready."

I decided to call Avery cause it would be easier,

"Hey! Great news! I can go I just have to be home by six!"

"Hey and awesome. We will be there in like ten minutes be ready!"

"Ok bye!"

I hung up the call and went to change into my bathing suit and I put some shorts and a tank over it. I put sunglasses on top of my head and grabbed a draw string bag to put my things in. I leave my room grabbing my flip flops and wait for the door bell to ring.

*ding dong*

"COMING!" I yell running to the door. "Mom they are here! Bye!" I yell before closing the door. Before it fully closes Alli comes out and hugs me. "Bye, have fun and be safe. Listen to her parents." I nod and run off to the car and hop in behind Avery. Alli is talking to Avery's mom about who knows what. I watch and wait till they stop talking before mrs. Lodge hugged Alli before walking to the car. "Why did my mom hug yours?" Avery asks turning back towards me. I shrug and we start driving to the lake. It's going to be so fun.

Alli's POV: "ALLI! WHERE'S KRISTEN?" Charles yells from our room. He comes out and I sit on the couch. "With Avery. Why?" "Are they here? Or at Avery's house." "Neither." I look up at him and he looks scared. "Wait where are they?" "On a lake. Or in a car driving to the lake. She will be back at six. They are fine don't worry." He sits down on the couch and sits next to me. I lay my head on his shoulder and look up at him. "I'm scared to tell them." I pull my knees to my chest and he wraps his arm around me. "I know me too, but we can get through this, together." I can't believe we are doing this to each other. I can't believe we are doing this to the kids... "Charles, are we sure we want to put everyone through this." "What do you mean by everyone?" "the CTFxC, the kids, US." He sighs and kisses my forehead. "It's for the best. Remember we just need a break. We can get better I know it can." I smile at him and we snuggle together for awhile.

Kristen's POV: we arrive at the lake and we go on the boat her mom rented. "Thanks for letting me come!" I say as we get on the boat. Avery's brother, Logan can along. He's six and super funny. Avery hates him though. "Your welcome." Avery's mom said. I laid my towel on the boat next to Avery's and we ran for a little bit. We went swimming for a little bit too. We decided to dock the boat and go home. I got sunburnt today.

"I had so much fun today." I said hugging Avery as I got out of the car. "Anytime." She says and we let go. "Bye." I say grabbing my bag and going to the front door. I'm greeted by three barking dogs. "Where is everyone?" I say looking around the house. It was really quiet for some reason. "In here cooking dinner!" Alli says from the kitchen. I walk in the kitchen just as the oven beeps. Charles is outside vlogging till Alli yells, "Charles! Dinner is ready!!" He runs in the house being chased by Chaz. He laughs and gets the babies in their seats. "What did you make?" I ask sitting down. "Chicken Parmesan." Alli says putting a piece of chicken, some rice and green beans on my plate. "Thanks." I say and we all start to eat. "We need to tell you three something after we eat ok?" I nod looking over at the twins. I wonder what it is. What if she is pregnant again? That would be exciting! I finish eating my food and wait for everyone else to finish.

Alli's POV: once everyone finished eating I cleaned up the plates and sat in my seat, which is next to Charles and across from the kids. Charles starts to speak, "Ok we have something very important to tell you three. It's going to be hard for us to say but..." I look over and Charles and nod at him to continue, "this will be hard for us, for you guys and even the CTFxC..." He turns to me and I finish what he is going to say. "We are thinking, since we have been so stressed and unhappy these past few months that we are thinking about separating. Which means I will be leaving. Either forever or for a week. This will be hard for all of us but we need you three to make a decision... By tomorrow." I put my head in my hands not wanting to see their reactions. I hear someone get up from the table and leave the kitchen. I look over to see no Kristen at the table. Charles gets up and follows her to where ever she went.

Charles' POV: after Alli tells them she puts her head in her hands and Kristen gets up. I push my chair out and follow her to where ever. "Kristen, come here, please." I say following her still. She goes to her room and slams the door in my face, locking it. "Kristen open the door, please." I hear her crying into her pillow but the door is still locked. I grab the key from above her room and unlock the door. "Go away! I wanna be alone!" She says once I close the door. "Kristen calm down." I sit next to her and run her back. She pushes my hand away and stands up. "Kristen sit." I say but she ignores me and walks out of her room. I run after her but I don't know where she went. I turn down the hallway to our room and see her at the end, slumped down on the wall. "Kristen it's ok, come here." She slowly gets up and I hug her tight. She sobs into my chest and I let her. "Hey, it will be ok. Alli and I can work this out. She is going to Nevada for a week then is coming back to Florida to live with her mom. She shakes her head in my chest and keeps crying. "I don't want this to happen! I want us to be a happy family! But now we won't be together!" She cries more then finally pushes herself away. "Well it is happening... I'm sorry Kristen it's better for us to be like this and leave then to be unhappy." She shakes her head and walks back to her room. She grabs the key from outside the door and brings it in with her. She locks the door and cries in peace. "Is she ok?" Alli asks once I come into the kitchen. I sit down and run my fingers through my hair, shaking my head. Alli rubs my back trying to comfort me. "I feel so bad... I can't believe we are doing this to them." I say, feeling tears from in my eyes. "Me too, I don't know if they can handle this, I can barely handle it." I nod in agreement and start to cry. Alli hugs me and lays her head on my back. I can't handle this anymore. I sit up and change the subject. "Who's taking who?" I ask fixing my hair. "I can take the babies." "Well what if Kristen wants to go with you? Then I will only have the dogs." "Then you can have the babies." "Ha, you're funny. I can't handle them." "You can't handle your own kids?! Then why would I leave Kristen with you?!" "Because she is older and can take care of herself more than the babies!" She stops me by holding her hand up. "One we are fighting in front of the kids," she says pointing to the babies across the table," and TWO, we are really going to fight over our kids?" I sigh and shake my head. "This is why we are doing this to our kids... Because we do this! We fight about them and we aren't happy..." I hug her and go to bed. I'm so tired! I just need to forget about everything and have a good nights sleep.
