Chapter twenty-one

Kristen's POV: today is my birthday! I'm not excited though. Well I'm going to be thirteen which I cool but I don't want to leave my room.. "Kristen? Want breakfast?" I open up my door to see Lauren standing outside the door. I hug her and she hugs me back. "How is the birthday girl?" She asks messing with my hair. "Bad... I'm grounded for two weeks and will be watched by two hawks the whole time." She sighs and looks down at me. "One, don't call my daughter a hawk she did save your life and two you did get yourself in trouble." We walk out to the kitchen and I sit at the table. Wow best birthday ever... I have to get myself breakfast. I stand up and get some cereal. "Hi sissy!" I hear Anna say. "What?" She frowns and climbs into my chair. "I sorry." "Apology not accepted. Because of you I'm grounded for two weeks!" "No it your fault for saying stupid." She giggles and climbs out of the chair. I eat my breakfast and Alli and Charles come in. "Morning." Charles says kissing my forehead. Did he forget about yesterday? I hope so but he probably didn't. "Morning." Alli says hugging me. "Happy birthday." Alli says. "Thanks." I smile at her and clean out my bowl. "I'm going to my room." "Wait. We are going to the amusement park today. You can invite a friend if you want to." Alli hands me my phone and I take it from her. "Thanks..." I say confused. "Welcome." She smiles and I walk to my room. "Kristen stay in here. We will let you text her but you have to give it right back." There's the catch. I sit down at the table and text my friend Avery.

'Hey! I was wondering if you wanted to come to the amusement park with my parents, siblings, and me. For my birthday.'

'Sure I would love to what time are you coming to get me?' "What time are we going to pick her up?" "Around noon" I nod and text her back,

'Noonish. See you then. Bring money and sunscreen. Also wear your bathing suit!'

'Ok bye!'

I give my phone back to Alli and walk to my room. I am allowed to vlog so I grab the camera and talk to the internet. "So today we decided to go to the amusement park for my birthday! I'm really happy but I'm still grounded. You will also get to meet my friend Avery. She loves the CTFxC and she is my BFF. Ok I have to pack see you soon!" I turn off the camera and get a bag ready. I bring a towel, sunscreen, money and I grab my sunglasses. I'm ready to go! I walk to the living room and sit on the couch. "We will leave soon ok Kristen?" Alli says sitting next to me. "Today you will have to stay with us and tomorrow it is back to no tv, music, or texting your friends. Here me?" I nod, "yes ma'am." Charles comes over holding Chaz and sits next to Alli. "Who did you end up inviting?" "Avery." Charles looks at Alli then back at me, "isn't that the bad news girl?" I shake my head confused. "What do you mean?" I try thinking about what he's saying. "Oh you mean the eighth grader Avery no this is the fifth grader Avery." He nods and puts Chaz down. "Watch him." He says to Alli and me as he leaves the room. "Chaz come here." Alli holds out her arms and Chaz wobbles Over to her. He giggles and falls into her arms. "Good boy, kristen where is the camera? I need to pack it." I hand her the camera and she slips it in her purse. "READY!!" Charles shouts running to the garage door. "Shot gun!" He shouts racing to the car. We all chuckle and get in the car. We are taking the van today so Avery can fit. I buckle Chaz in and get in the way back and buckle myself in. Time to pick up Avery!

"Avery!" I run out of the car and up to her door to hug her. "Happy birthday," she says hugging me. "Thanks, I missed you!" "Missed you too. Why haven't you texted me at all?" "I got grounded for two weeks... I said stupid twice in front of my sister so she repeated it and snuck onto my phone and on my tv." She laughs at me. "That sounds like you." I nod and help put her things in the trunk. Today will be a good day... Maybe.
