Chapter fifty-one

Kristen's POV: it's finally Saturday and that means it's a week till Charles goes on tour. "Dad? Can I... Come on tour with you?" "Kristen, we've gone over this, no you cannot go on tour! You have school!" I cross my arms and sit on the sofa in his office, "well can I at least go to your first show?" "You do know it's in Tallahassee, right?" I shake my head, "can I go?" "I don't know, do you wanna be where your mother died?" I look up at him and sigh, "it's there?" He nods and frowns, "do you wanna go?" I nod and smile, "I need to go, she would want me to." He smiles and we both stand up. "I have bad news..." I look at him and frown, "what?" "Alli wants you to come over to her house." "Why?" He sighs and puts a hand on my shoulder, "I have to continue on my tattoo and I have practice..." "Can't I come with you?!" He shakes his head, "you need to go to her house. It's only for today." I roll my eyes and leave the room, "fine I'll go." I go into my room and Charles comes in right after, "I thought I said not to roll your eyes at me!" He shouts but not really loud. "Sorry." I mumble and go on my phone, "why are you in such a mood?! It's just going to Alli's!" "Exactly!! I don't wanna go to Alli's! I want to stay here, with you and Zoey and Marley!! I don't wanna leave this home and go with Alli! What if one day she gets a new you and moves away and takes me with her!! I don't want her to get full custody!" Charles sits on my bed and hugs me, "that won't happen Kristen, I will make sure of it." He kisses the top of my head. He holds me close for a while then stands up. "I will text Alli and see if you can come with me when I get my tattoo, okay?" "Okay, thank you." "If she says no you have to deal with it." I nod and he pulls out his phone. He dials Alli's number and starts to talk to her. I don't listen and go on my phone. Charles finally comes back in and sighs, "get ready for a five hour session with Dimas!" I jump up and smile. "Yay!! Thank you thank you thank you!!" I hug him and he kisses my forehead, "you still have to go to Alli's after it ok?" I sigh and nod. I grab my school bag and a smaller bag for snacks. "Wanna stop somewhere to get some snacks?" Charles asks grabbing his phone and camera. I nod and stuff my snack bag in my school bag. Mama Trippy arrives and we go to her car. We get in and Charles starts vlogging, "mom? Are you ready for your tattoo?" She laughs and shakes her head, "come on! How about a butterfly!" I laugh and lean up, "get a blue butterfly on your butt!!" Charles laughs and high fives me. "Charlie! Look at what you taught her!" I laugh that she called him Charlie. She hits his arm and keeps driving. "Well guys, I guess today isn't the day for mam Trippy to get a tattoo, I tried." He turns off the camera and we go into the store. We get a ton of snacks. The whole time we followed Charles mom around asking when she was getting the butterfly tattoo on her butt. It was so funny, "mom!! When are you getting a tattoo?! The one on your butt?? When is that happening?!" We both laugh and she rolls her eyes. We leave the store after embarrassing her and go to Dimas' place.

We arrive and all walk in. Charles brings his camera out and hands it to me. Dimas finally starts getting the stuff for the tattoo ready after he finishes the stencil. I sit in there the whole time and we make up stupid jokes, "what's a fish with no I's?" Charles asks already laughing. We all shrug and he laughs," a fsh! Get it?" We laugh and a lady who works with Dimas, Liz, told another cheesy joke, "what's brown and sticky?" We all shrug, "a stick." Charles laughs and turns the camera back towards him, "well I my arm is all wrapped up and it's time to go!" He turns the camera off and we leave. "We are going to Alli's now ok?" I nod and get in the car. We start the car and head off to Alli's. Charles keeps saying the jokes over and over! It's super annoying. "Charles! Stop! Your annoying me!" I yell but can't help to laugh at him, "then listen to your music you fsh." I roll my eyes and get my headphone out. I plug them into my phone and listen to WTK. "Hey!! Fsh!! Whatcha listening too?!" I glare at Charles and yell back, "We The Kings you Fsh!" He laughs and keeps vlogging. We finally arrive at Alli's and Charles gets out of the car to get my bags, "my new nickname for you is Fsh. So bye Fsh." He laughs and hugs me. I nod on the door and Alli answers it and is holding the twins. "Hi Kristen." She puts down the twins and hugs me. The twins run to Charles and they hug him. I put my bags down and hug Charles one more time, "see you later," he kisses my cheek, "Fsh." We both laugh and he walks to the car. Alli gets the twins in and closes the door. "Fsh?" I laugh and shake my head, "long story." "I have time." We sit down at the kitchen table and I sigh, "it's a joke where he says, what do you call a fish with no I's, then when you shrug, he says a Fsh. So now he is calling me a Fsh." She laughs and smiles, "you miss him! Why did you leave in the first place? If you love him why did you leave?" She sighs and puts her head in her hands, "I needed a break! Please stop asking this question!" She stands up and wipes her eyes. Did I make her cry? She leaves the room and walks quickly to hers. "Alli wait, I'm sorry!" I follow after her but she closes the door before I could get there. I lean on the door and slide down and sit. I pull my legs to my chest, "Alli, I'm sorry, please open the door!" I hear her sniffle on the other side. I scoot to the other side of the wall and wait. She opens the door and sits next to me. She lays her head on me shoulder and sighs, "I'm sorry this all happened... I'm sorry ok? I'm sorry... This shouldn't have happened to you!" She wipes her eyes and stands up. "It's ok, I'm sorry, you shouldn't be. I brought it up and I shouldn't have done that." I stand up and she hugs me. We walk out of the hallway and sit on the couch. "I won't bring it up again." I say quickly. She smiles and lays on my lap. "Thank you." I sigh and lay my head back on the couch. She sits up and puts the twins down for a nap. She comes back in and turns on the TV. "We have about twenty minutes to ourselves, anything you wanna do?" I shrug and lay on her shoulder. She goes on netflix and pulls up a movie. We watch it until we hear one of the twins screaming. Alli jumps up and goes to their room. I check my Instagram and read some comments,

I lock my phone and roll my eyes, idiots. People don't get it. They just keep opening wounds that are healing. Alli comes back out holding Anna. She smiles at me and places Anna in between both of us. Should I ask her why she changed her user? Nah I won't. We continue the movie till Chaz cries. Alli goes and gets him while I play with Anna. "Daddy?" I shake my head, "not until you are four." "How long?" "Two years." "How long that be?" "A long time, too long..."

Alli's POV: I pick up Chaz from his crib and walk back into the living room. I stop at the entrance and listen to Kristen and Anna. "Daddy?" Anna asks crawling on Kristen lap, "not until your four." "How long?" Anna asks now grabbing Kristen hair, "two years." "How long that be?" Kristen looks down at her and frowns, "a long time, too long..." I sigh and put Chaz down. He runs into the living room and jumps on Kristen. Anna gets off of Kristen's lap and I go into the living room, picking up Anna and placing her on my lap. Kristen smiles and puts Chaz I her lap. "What was Anna asking?" She shrugs, "just saying baby things." So she won't tell me, how many things does she not tell me? I stand up and put Anna in her play pen. I need to get that out of Kristen, but how? "Kristen, are you sure she didn't ask anything?" She nods and smiles, "are you sure? Because I thought I heard her ask you something..." She shakes her head, "she said nothing." "I heard someone say daddy..." I sit down again and she sighs, "she asked about dad, when will she see him? How long she has to wait...?" "Anything else?" She nods, "why did you change your username on Instagram?" I knew she would ask me this question... Why? "Well Charles and I aren't together anymore, so it's time to move on..." She roll her eyes at me and stays silent. "Kristen. Don't even get started with that!" She crosses her arms and faces the TV. Why is she mad? It was Charles and I's choice to separate. She doesn't say anything else for the rest of the day. Neither do I. We sit in a silent house with two babies. When it comes to night she stands up and goes to her room, locking the door. I put the twins in their room and I go to mine. I fall asleep thinking about Kristen, about the twins, about Charles, about the Trippys, about the Speeds, about the CTFxC. Do I really want to leave this all behind? Leave Charles, Kristen and the Trippys? Is it worth it? I shrug it off and go to sleep. I will talk to Charles tomorrow about it, about us...

Alli's username on Instagram😭😭 it's @allirosespeed it's so upsetting! But you know what? I support their decision because I want them to be happy. It's kind of sad that Alli is on a cruise with everyone in the Bahamas and Charles is stuck in Florida. At least he still has fun and she is clogging the cruise!
