Punishment

Chapter fourty-nine

Kristen's POV: "Kristen, you have to leave soon, wake up." Lindsey shakes me awake and smiles once I open my eyes. "Morning." She says still smiling. "Morning." I yawn and stretch. "Danny made omelets, want one?" I nod and stand up. We both walk to the kitchen and sit down. Danny hands me an omelet and I start eating. "What's going to happen? Did Alli tell you?" Danny sits down and shakes his head. "She hasn't told me anything." I sigh and eat my omelet. I know something bad will happen I just don't know what. When I finish eating I throw away my plate and get ready. "Alli will be here in ten, hurry up." Lindsey says outside the bathroom. I finish getting ready and I put everything in my bag. I walk out and put my bags by the door. I sit next to Danny and lay my head on his chest. "I don't wanna go to Alli's, she will yell at me..." "Don't worry, it wasn't your fault what happened." I nod and smile. The doorbell rings and I stand up to grab my bags. Lindsey answers the door and invites Alli in. Alli helps me grab my bags and we put them in the car. I get in the front seat and Alli goes to talk to Danny. They hug and she walks back to the car. She gets in and backs out of their driveway. "How was it?" "What? Staying at Danny's?" She nods and I shrug, "they didn't yell." She sighs and keeps driving, "Kristen, I'm glad you had fun." Once we arrive at Alli's house we grab my bags and walk in. I put my bags on the steps and go to the living room. "What's my punishment?" "Do you really wanna know?" I nod and turn towards her. "Nothing, your punishment is nothing." I look at her shocked. "Why?" "Because your growing up, you are a teenager and you don't wanna be stuck inside all the time, you kissed a boy, oh well." I get off of the couch and walk towards her, "oh well?! You yelled at me last night saying I wouldn't even be with him and now you're saying that nothing's wrong?! Why did you yell at me in the first place?!" "Because I didn't know Kristen, I was mad because you didn't listen to me or your father." I was going to say something to make her mad but I didn't. "You could at least day thanks for not grounding you." "Thanks." I mumble. "What I couldn't hear you cause you mumbled. I roll my eyes and look at her, "THANKS. Did I mumble mom?" I roll my eyes again and walk to my room. Alli grabs my arm and pulls me back. "I can still punish you, so I suggest you be nice to me." I pull my arm away and walk up the steps. Alli doesn't follow me up the steps and I'm glad. I don't wanna deal with her. I go and sit on my bed. I mean I'm glad that I didn't get punished but why yell at me in the first place. I play some games on my phone till I get a text from Ashton,

'My mom got a call from your dad that we kissed, why did you tell them?'

'I didn't, my mom figured it out when I called her, she yelled at me but I didn't get in trouble.'

'Congratulations, I got grounded for a week but at least I can be with you still.'

'Why are you mad? You are the one that kissed me!'

'Well sorry, I'm upset because you didn't get in trouble but I did.'

'Ok sorry, bye.'

'Bye.'

I lock my phone and throw it on my bed. Everyone is so mad at me. What did I ever do to deserve this? Nothing. I pace back and forth around my room until it's time for lunch. I go down the steps and make a sandwich for me. I sit down at the table and eat my sandwich. Alli comes in and sits at the table. "I heard Charles told Ashton's mom." I nod and eat my sandwich. "Thank you for not grounding me." "Your welcome. I remember when I first kissed Charles. Your grandma was so mad at Charles. It was in high school and he was my second boyfriend and we just met. He kisses me and my mom went crazy. She called Charles' mom and yelled at her. Then he proposed and we got married. We had three kids together." I shake my head, "only two." "You count as once Kristen." I smile and hug her. "Don't you miss not having Charles around?" She nods and wipes her eyes. "I miss him a ton, but it's a new chapter in our life. It will suck but at least I can continue this journey with you." She kisses my forehead and hugs me. "Love you." "Love you too." She smiles at me and I smile back.
