Talking to Charles

Chapter fifty-two

Alli's POV: it's 10:00 A.M. and I decided to wake up Kristen. I'm the adult and I should've talked. "Kristen? I have something to tell you." She whines and rolls over. "What?" She asks in a bratty tone. "Wow you actually talked." She rolls her eyes and sits up. "I'm going to talk to Charles today which means you are going home early." She smiles and stands up, "are you trying to fix this?" I nod and she hugs me, "thank you." I kiss her head and she smiles up at me, "go get ready, I need to tell Charles we are coming over." She nods and I leave the room. I wake up the twins and change them. They both run out of the room once I'm done and climb into their seats. I put some fruit on their trays and milk in their bottles. While they are eating I go get dressed and text Charles,

'Bringing Kristen home early, I need to talk to you about something.'

I send the message and sit on the couch, waiting for a reply.

'Ok see you guys soon.'

I lock my phone and go change the twins. I put on their onesies and Kristen comes out of her room. "Ready!" She yells. I pick up the twins and walk to the car. On our way out she grabs some bags that she brought down and we get in the car. She helps get the twins in the back and when she gets up front I back out of the driveway. She listens to her music the whole time. I don't even try to talk to her. We arrive at Charles' house and Kristen jumps out of the car and get her bags. I unbuckle the twins and they run to the door. Charles opens the door and they all run inside. I get to the door and smile at Charles. Once I get in he closes the door and the twins tackle him. They all laugh and smile. Charles picks them up and kisses them. "Love you two." Charles says and puts them down. "What did you want to talk about?" He asks. "Can we go outside?" He nods and we walk outside. He closes the slide door after I get out and we sit at the table. "Well Kristen was telling me about the Fsh joke and I laughed." "How is that wrong?" I sigh and continue, "she yelled at me and said I still love you, which I do, and asked me why I left." He nods and smiles, "later Anna asked Kristen about you and Kristen got mad at me that I changed my Instagram username, I told her because we moved on, she got pissed and didn't talk to me for the rest of the night, when we went to bed I was thinking..." I look down and wipe my eyes, "I was thinking about us, is it worth it?" "Is what worth it?" "Is me being happy worth losing you?" He smiles at me and sighs, "so what are you saying?" "I'm saying, are you sure you want this divorce to be finalized?" He stands up and shakes his head, "no I don't, I want to be with you." I stand up and hug him. "We need to be with each other, we can fix this." He kisses me and we walk back into the house, hugging. He whispers those three words in my ear that I miss, "I. Love. You." I smile and we both sit down on the couch. "We can't tell the kids just yet, it's too early." I nod in agreement and we scoot away from each other as Kristen comes out from the hallway. "Hi." She says smiling. "Hi." I say back. Kristen sits on the couch in between Charles and I. She looks over at Charles then at me and raises her eyebrows. She keeps looking back and forth till Charles stands up. "Where are you going?" Kristen asks also standing up. "I need to edit." Charles says pointing to his office. Kristen nods and he leaves the room. "So..." "So." She sighs and flops on the couch. "All he does is edit and vlog, at least you don't vlog anymore." Kristen says scooting closer to me. I sigh and look down at her. I will be back to vlogging soon... Just not yet.

Kristen's POV: "all he does is edit and vlog, at least you don't vlog anymore." I say scooting closer to Alli. She sighs but doesn't say anything. I stand up and get some juice. Alli follows me and sits at the counter. I wonder what Charles and her talked about. Did they fight? No they didn't come in crying. Did they kiss? No because they didn't show affection for each other. Did they talk about me? About what I said to Alli? Whatever they said it must be good because Alli is still here. I drink some juice and hand Alli a cup. She smiles and takes a sip. "So what's happening with you two?" I ask setting my cup down. She shrugs and sighs, "I don't know Kristen."

Alli's POV: I shrug and sigh, "I don't know Kristen." Of course I lied to her, I mean I can't tell her, not yet anyways. Charles finally comes out of the office and sits next to me at the counter. Kristen looks at me and picks up her cup, "I'm going to swim." She puts her cup in the sink and goes into her room. "Did she ask you anything?" Charles asks turning to face me. "Yea." "What did you say?" "I didn't know." He nods and smiles. "Charles, when are we going to tell them? And the CTFxC?" Charles pinches the skin between his eyes, "I forgot about telling the CTFxC..." We both sigh and Kristen comes out of her room. "I'm going to swim, wanna join?" We shake out heads and she shrugs, "your loss!" She yells and runs out the door. She jumps into the pool and the dogs start barking at her. She smiles at us and gets out of the pool, "come on! It's fun!!" We both shake our heads, "Kristen close the door please, we need to talk." Charles says sternly. Kristen slumps down and walks to the door, "fine." She slides it shut and goes back to playing with the dogs. "How about Tuesday. We will tell everyone Tuesday." Charles says, "I guess but what should I do?" "Go to your house till Monday night. You can sleep in the spare bed and just say your house rent is over and your parents are out of town." I nod and stand up. "I should be going, so you can spend time with Kristen." I walk over to get my purse and hear Charles stand up. "Wait, you can stay." Charles says. I shrug and put my purse on my shoulder, "the kids are probably getting suspicious." Charles nods and comes closer to me. We hug and he kisses me. "Love you, see you Tuesday?" I nod and kiss him again. We step away right before Kristen comes in the house. "Are you leaving?" She asks, wrapping herself in a towel. I nod and walk over to her, "I'll come get you Tuesday ok?" She nods and hugs me. "Bye, I'm going back outside." I nod and she runs back outside, "okay?" I sigh and smile at him, "okay." He says also smiling. I yell for the twins who come running from his office. "Might wanna go check you office.." I say pointing down the hall. He smiles and runs down the hall. He goes into his office then comes back out a few minutes later. "Nothing happened." I nod and pick up the twins. "Bye daddy!" Chaz says giggling. Charles waves at them and closes the door behind me. I walk to the car and put the twins in their seat. Tuesday, we will be a family. Tuesday, the hate will stop. Tuesday, everything will be back to normal...
