Do You Believe It!?

Strive to make whatever you are writing believable. This would pose a big problem to those writing fiction novels or pieces where you can have creatures such as goblins or fairies. How believable is that to your readers?

This can only work depending on the universe you decide to set for your novel or writing piece. You can't expect your readers to believe a fairy can exist when you're writing a book that has nothing to do with magic.

One thing I have come to notice about readers, myself inclusive, is that readers hate the cheap stuff and tricks. The whole evil twin routine, tooth fairy and all that just doesn't buy their interest anymore.

Don't try bringing in a new character almost at the end of the story when all hope is lost to solve the protagonist's problem. This is a cliché and most novice writers commit to this mistake.

One way or another, the characters must solve their own problems, for better or for worse.
