Now, we all know the phrase that advices individuals not to judge a book by its appearance. Another one we can come across that teaches us the same moral lesson is "all that glitters isn't gold" and there are many more.
Basically, all these tell us that you must get to know something first before you make up your mind on what or how to feel about that thing. This is what we currently face now. It's a world where first impressions REALLY does make a difference and counts.
In the book world, if you don't have an attractive cover that complements the title of your book, no matter how great a story you have written, you would always end up loosing potential readers.
After all, you write to entertain your readers so why drive them away with a boring cover. Imagine having a book titled "Romeo & Juliette" and for the book poster you see a man in a racing suit along with a helmet standing next to a car that compliments what he's wearing.
Now that is not attractive in the least bit and very contradicting. Its always advisable to find a good artist to make you a cover for your book but if you can't, I can make you a cover for the time being under 3 conditions.
· You PM (Private Message/inbox) me about it and ill let you know the what details to send me.
· You give my book a shout out....and credit my work. Your cover would be displayed in my book of covers I make.
· Thirdly, after completing each cover, ill send you the details of who to acknowledge for the photos used in the cover to avoid plagiarism or copyright issues.
Using my cover temporarily is the best option but if you like it very much, all you have to do is obtain copyright issues and all them crazy paperwork stuff. As time goes on, primary and potential customers would get discounts when this becomes a fully acknowledged business.
