Leo in love?

This chapter is being done on my phone... My laptop isn't working right now. Sorry if there are a lot of mistakes, I really dislike typing stuff on a keyboard as small as this. As always, characters in this Fanfiction do not belong to me, all characters are created and portrayed by Rick Riordan. Though I may portray them differently.

Chapter 3

Leo in Love?

Piper POV

Everyone was overjoyed when we had returned from the war with Gaea a couple months ago. Everyone but Leo.

As soon as we had returned Leo went right back to work with a stern look and an emptiness his eyes. I walked to the Zeus cabin to talk to Jason. As I got closer I realized the door was wide open. I walked up to to the open door and peered through. I saw Jason shirtless and yawning. After realizing I was staring I called Jason.

" Jason? "

Jason looked at me and seemed to make a mental note.

" Hey Pipes. What's up? "

" Can I come in? "

" Yeah, just let me grab a shirt. "

As Jason picked up his orange shirt from off the floor, I went inside and made my way to his bed. By the time he had slipped it on I was already sitting down. He sat next to me and asked:

" So what's up? "

" I- it's Leo... I'm worried about him. He hasn't been himself since we returned from the war a couple months ago. "

Jason took a couple seconds to think, then he responded.

" No need to worry about him anymore. I talked to him last night or this morning, actually. "

" Really? What did he say? "

Jason stood up all of a sudden. He seemed to be hiding something from me. How do I know? Simple, as he was about to speak, he choked on his own words and he thought about something... probably his talk with Leo.

" Sorry Pipes, I promised Leo not to tell you. Maybe if you ask him yourself he'll tell you."

The fact he had promised Leo not to tell me made me worry. It must be something serious. So of course I only wanted to know even more now. I got off the bed and walked up to Jason. I wrapped my arms around his neck and willed myself to CharmSpeak him.

" C'mon Jase, can't you just tell me?"

His eyes went blank and it seemed he would tell me everything, but he came back to his senses.

" Don't do that to me Piper, please? I promised. Just...go ask him yourself, please?"

I was surprised, Jason could never resist my charm speak before. I sighed.

" Okay..."

With that I kissed him on the cheek and walked out of the cabin. I began to look for Leo when I realized I'd forgotten to ask Jason where he was. I checked the Hephaestus cabin, the amphitheater, the arena, the training fields but he never turned up.

" Where he could he be... The Forge!"

After my epiphany of some sort I sprinted to the forge to talk to Leo. Luckily I heard a hammer clash with metal and gears whirring and making creaking noises. I walked in and saw Leo under what seemed to be a new body for Festus. He'd always wanted to rebuild a his body. I walked up to his leg, crouched, and tapped his knee. He came out from under his project and looked at me.

" Hey Piper. Jason told me you'd be coming. "

" He did? That traitor...anyway that means you know why I'm here. "

I looked Leo in his eyes when I said that. Although his mischievous grin and smile were back, his eyes were still empty. As if longing for something more...maybe even someone.

" It's a girl, isn't it? "

He winced. Seeming surprised I had figured something out.

" A girl? Pfffft, no of course not. I'm just upset that Festus isn't going to be whole again for a while. "

His voice was shaky and his hands were still. Leo's hands were NEVER still.

" Oh gods it is. Any reason you're lying to me Leo? You can tell me anything. I'm here for you just like Jason is. "

Leo hesitated and stayed silent for a while, all of a sudden interested in a wrench that clicked when you turned it. As a daughter of Aphrodite, I'm not very good with the names of tools.

" How is it you figure this stuff out so fast? " Leo whined as if to say " that's so unfair" and put down his wrench and leaned against his work bench.

" Leo, I'm a daughter of Aphrodite, figuring out someone's got girl problems is easy for me. "

Leo sighed and began to speak.

Hearing him explain everything that happened after Khione launched was surprising. My eyes became wide and my mind became blind from shock. I looked at Leo as if though he had just turned into a Minotaur. After he said Calypso, magic island, and sworn on the Styx, I figured I'd heard enough.

" So you started to like Calypso? THE Calypso? "

" Y- yeah. I did. "

" And you swore on the Styx to find her again. "

" Yes."

" And you're absolutely 100% sure you'll risk going crazy if it means finding her again. "

" 150%" Leo smirked.

" Did Jason say he'd help? "

" He did."

" Alright Leo, I'll help, but only if you answer this question honestly. "

Leo looked scared and he hesitated to reply. His fingers began to furiously tap his knee, which was now bouncing rapidly. All while his left hand turned the clicking wrench continuously. Finally he looked at me.

" Okay. What's the question. "

" Do you love Calypso? "

Before he had the chance to answer Jason walked in. He looked at me and noticed the anger in my face.

" Sorry Piper, but somebody's here to see Leo. "

Leo stood up.

" Well I guess well talk later Piper! Where is this somebody, Jason?"

" Right outside your cabin. "

With that Leo sprinted out not looking back.

" Oh gods Jason! I was so close to knowing if he loved her or not!"

" Loved who?"

" What the hades do you mean who?! Who else?!"

" Calypso? LEO LOVES HER?!"

" I don't know...because SOMEBODY doesn't know how to knock on doors!"

I stormed out of the forge and went to the training fields to let off steam stabbing dummies with my dagger, Katoptris.

Hehehe cliffhanger from Leo's perspective, but not Piper's. Don't worry I'll get to the CaLeo in a chapter or so. Sorry. Hope you liked this chapter! Vote, comment, add to library if you want.
