Crystals wolf- bold letters

Crystal's pov

It's been two weeks since my parents have been gone. I miss them a lot but I know what they're doing is for the pack and myself. James and I have been doing a pretty good job keeping the pack in one piece. The mother's and children are healthy and the warriors are keeping a close eye on everything. If you ask me everything's going well. But there's one thing.

My job.

I don't feel like going I'm so tired. I groaned and sat up in my bed looking around with half open eyes. I heard someone groan beside me making me jump a little. I sighed seeing that it was just James. He occasionally sleeps in my bed when I have night terrors. I had a bad one last night. I dreamt that everyone who had left were murdered.  A neighboring pack slaughtered them all and the alpha took me as his own. But the thing is . . . James was that alpha.

I jumped feeling him grab my arm. He sat up and pulled me into him. "Hey, hey now. Shhh it's okay." I leaned into him not knowing that I was crying. "Nothing's going to happen to us baby girl. We're okay." He said rubbing my arm slowly. I moved from off of him and wiped my tears away. "I need to get ready for work." He groaned leaning against the headboard. "Why do you work anyways? We take care of everything around here."

"Because I don't want to feel helpless around here. I want to help out with some things as well." I said pushing the blankets off of me. I stood up and stretched my aching bones. I heard a husky growl and a slap. I looked over at James and saw his hand covering his mouth. "What's up with you?" I asked. He uncovered his mouth and cleared his throat. "Oh nothing. I'm just hungry is all."

I chuckled and headed towards the bathroom. "Don't take 1,000 years to get ready please and thank you!" James said running out of the room. Just for that I'm going to take 1,001 years to get ready.

"Good goddess you took forever! What do you even do? You don't wear make-up so that's not it. You do look beautiful though." I blushed at his comment. "Thanks, you don't look so bad yourself." I smiled and he growled a little coming towards me. I yelped and ran to the front door. "Race you!" I opened the door and ran outside.

"See you later, Luna!"

I whipped my head around to find a little girl with strawberry blonde hair smiling and waving. "Luna?" I whispered. James chuckled and walked up to me. "Why did she call me that James?"

"I'm not entirely sure." He said while scratching the back of his neck. I gave him a pointed look and crossed my arms. "I know when you're lying. Tell me the truth right now." He cursed under his breath and tried to hold my hand but I snatched away from him. My wolf is getting antsy. "Tell me." A couple of seconds passed. "Well, I might've told people that umm-" He cleared his throat and shook his head. "Never mind let's go drop you off at work." I punched him in the shoulder, growling softly. "James tell me! She said "Luna" and I doubt your dad is going around telling people that I'm the Luna. Did you tell people we were mated?" He looked down at his shoes like it was the most important thing ever. "Answer me." I whispered. He nodded and slowly looked back up to me. I gritted my teeth and held my wolf back. She doesn't like false claiming.

"Let me out Crystal." My wolf said. James sighed looking at my eye color change. "Crystal listen. I can't run this pack without a mate-"

"Then wait for her! Don't false claim us you idiot!"

"Aurora calm down." I whispered to my wolf. "Aurora I mean no harm to you so please calm down you're hurting Crystal." James said holding up his hands in defeat. She whined realizing that I was struggling to keep her inside of me.
