Crystal pov

"I'm so sorry about your dad." He said wrapping his arms around me. I sniffled and buried my face into his chest. I told him about everything that had happened. He wasn't too keen on the fact that my guardian was a guy but I assured him there was no other connection between me and the hybrid.

"I miss him so much it hurts. I don't think I can go back there. Especially with my mom blaming me for his death. I don't want to leave James though, our friendship was just getting better." He tensed up hearing James name. "I don't like him at all Crystal. He hurt you too many times, I can't just sit here and let him come back into your life like nothing happened. It'll kill me watching you two together after I've seen what he's done to you."

"I'll be fine, I know he didn't mean any of those things. He was just upset about us."

"Speaking of which," He sat down and pulled me onto his lap," Where do I come in on this . . . werewolf thing? I'm not a werewolf so why do you want me?"

I blushed and hid my face in my hair. I forgot about explaining this to him. He chuckled and turned my face back to look at him. "Don't hide from me now. You have lots of explaining to do." He smiled and kissed me softly on the lips. I kissed back not wanting this sensation to go away.

I ever so gently gripped the back of his neck to pull him closer to me. He groaned and bit my bottom lip making me gasp. He took that opportunity to softly caress the inside of my mouth with his tongue. I moaned and positioned my body to straddle him. He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him. I pulled away from the kiss and started kissing down his neck.

"Mark our mate. Mark him."

I moaned as I felt my fangs extend from my aching gums. I sucked on the spot on his neck where I would mark him and shuddered at the beautiful moan that came from him. I gently bit his neck but not hard enough to penetrate it. "No . . . I can't." I told my wolf. "Calm yourself!" I mentally screamed at her because she was trying to take control. That scares me because I can barely hold her back, a full moon is tomorrow so she's stronger than me right now. I growled a little and retracted my fangs.

"Crystal? Are you okay?" He said pulling back a little. I had my eyes closed so I could concentrate but it's barely working. "He's mine to mark, you want to mark him just as much as I do right now. He accepts us and-" I finally got the strength to shut her out. I took deep, ragged breaths to keep myself under control now that she's down. "Baby? Hey, look at me."

It took me a minute but I finally got my hormones under control. I slowly opened my eyes to see a worried expression on his face. "I umm . . . My wolf she was trying to mark you." He frowned and cleared his throat. "Is that a good thing or?" I giggled and nodded. "It's an amazing thing. That's what I have to explain." I removed myself from off of him to put some distance between us. I might've gotten my wolf down but she's still strong enough to come up. "Okay, so the reason why I'm so attached to you and you I, is because of my wolf. The moon goddess p-"

"Moon goddess?"

"Yes, that's who created us. She creates our souls and our souls are connected to other souls. My wolfs soul is connected to yours."

"So you're only attracted to me because of your wolf?" I frantically shook my head and grabbed his hands. "No I love you, not because of the mate bond, but because I got to know you for who you are. The bond had some part in it but these are my feelings as well." He smiled and kissed the top of my hands. "I love you too baby." My heart skipped multiple beats and it felt like I was about to faint. He said it back! I'm so happy. More than happy! No words can describe how I feel right now.
