Present day Crystals POV

I looked at Brian in disbelief. No way, no way any of this is true. "Let me get this straight. I have an Ancient Wolf inside of me, and you do too, but the only way he can awaken is if I mark you?" He rubbed the back of his head while nodding. "That's why Bruce bowed when you threatened him! Oh my Goddess, this is too much to process." I rested on the couch in the guest room. We're currently staying in one of Dylan's rooms at his pack house. My heat has subsided from the little activity we did in the car. "I understand that this is a lot to take in, and believe me, it hasn't been easy for me either. Now that I have you back, I'm only now coming to terms with everything." My hands were softly taken by him as he brought me onto his lap. I encircled him with my arms and laid my forehead on top of his. "I'm sorry for dismissing you the way that I did. I knew James and Angel being mates wasn't your fault, but I-" I interrupted him by giving him a quick kiss on the lips. "Please don't. I should be the one apologizing. What I did with Bruce was unacceptable. I'm sorry I cheated on you. There is no reason in the world to justify what I did."

He shook his head and chuckled. "Don't worry about that baby girl. I dealt with the situation. He'll never come near you again unless it's to protect you." He smirked at me and leaned back, looking me up and down. "What did you do to him?" I questioned with my arms crossed. "Nothing to worry your cute little head about. Let's take a shower now, and then we'll head downstairs so that everyone can properly greet you." I giggled as he snatched me up in his arms and rushed into the bathroom. "Finally! I'm glad you're aware now. Mark him so I can communicate with my king!" Aurora snarled at me, and I scoffed. "You should have told me right away." I said as Brian seated me at the sink's counter. "The Moon Goddess told me to keep that information to myself. Would you have preferred if I had ignored her?" She replied. "I suppose not. I'm still shocked by all of this. So, do I have the ability to command as well?" I excitedly questioned. "I'm afraid not, little one. The King is the only one who possesses that skill. Don't get me wrong, we still have a lot of power. When my mate completely awakens, everyone will recognize the magnitude of our power. When he does, his essence will be in our system, giving us full strength."

Wow. So I'm not some helpless Omega. I am powerful. I'm strong. I can finally be who I want to be! When I noticed a hand waving in front of my face, I looked up to see Brian looking concerned. "Are you alright? You were just staring off into space." He took my hands and knelt down in front of me. "I'm okay I was just having a conversation with my wolf." I grinned at him and quickly kissed him. "What's that like? Speaking to your wolf."

"Well, it's similar to how we're speaking right now. Except in your head. People would think you were insane if you talk out loud." I giggled. He chuckled and got to his feet. "I'm excited to talk to my wolf. I can't wait to do what every one else can do. It's going to be amazing. I'll be able to run with you in wolf form and we could speak to each other without actually talking out loud! Oh and I especially can't-" I grinned up at him as he continued to talk. Although he seems incredibly happy about everything, I don't believe he understands what he is committing to. He's going to be The King. The one in charge of the packs, fighting in wars and attending meetings. All of it falls on him. Our relationship will change drastically if I mark him. That is something I am not yet ready for. We won't be able to spend as much time together as we would like or even spend a day in bed together watching movies. Everything is about to change. Yes, I'll be by his side through it all, but as Queen. Am I ready for that? Am I ready to give up my life and start a new one. Maybe this isn't as exciting as I thought it would be. I sighed and stood to take off my clothes. This is something we're going to have to have a conversation about.

Everyone in the living room jumped to their feet when I walked in. Alpha John, Angel, Dylan, Alex, Jacob, my mom, and James. I grinned at everyone before approaching my favorite men. "Hey you guys." I said as I opened my arms out for a hug. They rushed up to me, greeting me and asked about my well-being. I laughed as I was squeezed in between all of them. "You have no idea what we went through trying to find you. Especially with Mr. Big Bad Wolf over there." Dylan stated, pointing to Brian. He crossed his arms and scoffed. "I didn't do anything." Brian muttered as he sat on the couch. "Pa-lease! We dealt with your ass all day long without eating." Alex said with a snort. I gasped and faced Brian. He stared up at me with wide eyes. "Okay to be fair you did run away without warning and I freaked out." He said defending himself. "That is no excuse Brian William Johnson!" I exclaimed while slapping his arm.
