Everyone told me I can't buy anything until I know the sex because something could happen to my baby.
I'm almost three months along now. I'm not showing, but my boobs are. They're huge. Spencer's working and I'm online reading about eleven weeks. Apparently my baby is moving, and he's starting to have little teeth fill into his gums.
Spencer thinks it's a girl, but I think it's a boy.
The nausea has been terrible, but today being my third day of week eleven, I'm feeling a bit better. I actually managed to eat all of my breakfast without throwing it all up. It's the end of January, and I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow.
I found a building for my bakery here about two weeks ago and they're putting in the flooring today. I'm excited for the bakery to open. Charlotte and I hang out a lot, but right now I'm alone.
I'm not tired like I usually am, and I would kill for a pumpkin spice milkshake from Culver's right now.
I stare at my phone, and then pick it up and dial Spencer.
He promised me he would answer if he was working and I called him, so when he answers, I'm not surprised.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"Nothing. Does Culver's make pumpkin spice milkshakes all year?"
"Jules, I don't think there's a Culver's around here."
"What?" I gasp. "Then let's go to the city."
"No sweetie, there's none in the whole state." He says. "I'm at work, can I call you later?"
I sigh.
"Alright, fine."
We hang up, and I sit there and stare at my phone.
This is fucking bullshit!
I want pumpkin pie.
I stare at the phone, and then I dial Ethan.
"Hey." He says.
"Where's Kendall?"
"She's sleeping." He says. "Why?"
I sigh.
"Bye."
I hang up.
I find myself bothering the family about my cravings.
Dad lives almost an hour from my house, but Spencer's parents aren't too far.
I hesitate, and then dial my mother-in-law.
She will give me what I want.
After all, it is for her grand child.
"Hi sweetie." She says when she answers.
I hesitate.
"Do you love me as a daughter?" I ask.
"Of course honey, why?"
"Do you love your grandchild?"
"Yes." She laughs. "Why?"
"I need a milkshake." I say. "But Spencer said there aren't any Culver's in the state."
"Oh, he's right. They're only in a couple of states." She says. "I've never had their food, are they any good?"
"Oh god, they're incredible." I moan. She laughs.
"What kind of milkshake do you want? Maybe somewhere else has something similar."
"I want pumpkin spice."
