Could It Be

Chapter 18

Alice's P.O.V.

I'm sitting next to Bella holding one hand while Rosalie is on her other side holding her other hand. I can see the spots on her skin where she almkst rubbed it raw. Her wrists, part of the chest that I can see, and her legs. I see Rose looking at the same thing and i can also see her getting madder at the second.

"They will not get away with this. I cant let this happen to her anymore because I know you saw the look of pure horror on her face that day. I cant let what happened to me happen to her Alice and if it means me killing them i will. That boy was going to rape her. She doesnt deserve that i didnt deserve that but i found a great person to help me. Esme cant help her when she fears that the people can still find her and achieve what they want." Rose says and she's shaking.

Suddenly Bella is sitting up and looking at Rosalie. She takes her hand out of mine and wraps her arms around Rose squeezing her as hard as she can. Rose wraps her arms around Bella and hugs her back. 

"Im nkt going to let what happened to me happen to you Bella. I wouldnt be able to live with myself if something bad happened to you like it did to me and i had the chance to stop it. We will protect you just let us." Rose says to Bella.

Bella pulls away and nods to us then she gets up and pulls the towel with her to Esme's closet.

"Do you want us to call Esme in?" I ask her.

She shakes her head no and then disappears into the closet.

We hear rustling and two minutes later she walks out with clothes on and it seems like shes ready for school. She then heads to the bathroom to finish getting ready and that's when i realise that she doeant have a cast on her arm. When did she lose that?

I walk into the closet and i see it in the trash can. I pick it up and show Rose and she just shrugs her shoulders. I watch as Bella walks out of the bathroom and nktice that its completely healed. No signs of a bad break anywhere. I guess her power fixed her arm.

"You want some breakfast?" Rose asks.

Bella nods her head and grabs her notepad and pen and then leaves the room and starts walking down the stairs. We follow after her and she sits at the table putting her shoes on.

I go to the fridge and pull out some fruit and she seems happy with it and starts eating the fruit. We hear the guys coming down the stairs ready for school and they enter the kitchen with us. Bella continues to eat her fruit and then we see Esme walking down the stairs slowly. I look to the guys and they shrug their shoulders and watch as Esme comes into the kitchen and sits besides Bella.

Bella looks up and smiles at Esme as she continues to eat the fruit. Esme looks at us and that's our cue to go ahead and go to school. We nod our heads and all leave.

"I wonder whats going on."

Esme's P.O.V.

Carlisle says that there is possibly a way for Bella to talk if she wants to try it. The punch that Bella did caused as you all know some cracks and a bruising that worries Carlisle because vampires aren't supposed to bruise. So its throwing us all for a loop so he said to just be careful.

Anyway after i got out of there I hear them all in the kitchen so i head down and see them all watching Bella eat fruit. I give them the motion to go ahead and go to school and that ill drive Bella there in alittle bit. I sit besides her and wrap an arm around her shoulders pulling her to me. I kiss the top of her head and stare out the window.

She finishes the fruit and then turns to me completely. She looks like shes focusing really hard and then i hear her.

"What's wrong Esme. Are you alright?"

"Ime fine Bella I just want to talk to you about some things." I say.

She nkds her head so I continue.

"Bella you have a power. We discovered it last night when you accidentally punched me. You cracked my stomach and it appears to be bruised. Bella you cant punch people or slap them because you could possibly kill a human if you do. You hurt a vampire and its unheard of for a human to hurt a vampite but you did. I'm nkt mad at you becahse i later saw what was happening to you and I would be doing the same thing." I say.

She looks horrified at what she did but nods her head. She looks down at my stomach and then grabs my shirt and lifts it up. She lifts it over my head and lays it on the table. She gently runs her fingers over my stomach where its cracked and bruised. Her touch is soothing it though and it feels great. I close my eyes and enjoy the feeling of my mate touching my stomach when I suddenly feel something else. I gasp and quickly open my eyes to see Bella kissing my cracked and bruised stomach. She pulls away and looks up at me and then she puts her hands on the spot and i grab both of her hands and put mkre pressure on them.

I dont know what's going on with me right now but i know that i really like it. Bella leans up and kisses me on the lips quickly before pulling back and looking at me. I lean forward and capture her lips in a slow kiss before letting them go and sitting back in my chair. I let go of her hands and look down to see that I'm healed. I look up at Bella and she smiles at me and then pecks me on the lips then she stands up and reaches her hand out to me. I grab her hand and she leads me to the garage and then gets in the Cadillac.

I guess she's ready for school.
