Chapter 54

Alice's p.o.v.

I quickly run and grab everything Carlisle will need to deliver the babies. Rosalie is by her left side holding her hand and trying to calm her down. The guys left the room to show respect for Esme as she is about to be her most vulnerable on the table. Bella looks really pale still but she's staying strong for Esme.

"Alrighty when I tell you to push you need to push Esme." Carlisle says.

She nods her head and then looks to Bella. "I love you." She says and gives Bella's hand a squeeze for reassurance.

"Push Esme." Carlisle says.

Esme start to push and I see a head popping out. I stand right besides Carlisle ready to grab the first baby so that he can deliver the second one as soon as possible. The first babies is almost out when we start to hear it screaming. Bella looks up and she looks like she is about to attack us for causing her baby pain but Emmett quickly gets into the room and holds her to his chest.

"Its what babies are supposed to do Bella. The baby is fine you need to relax and be strong for Esme." Emmett says to her.

The first baby is finally out and it's a baby boy. I wrap the boy up into a blanket and wipe his off a bit so that hes not so dirty. Carlisle cuts the umbilical cord and hands the baby to Rosalie as he.looks up to Esme.

"You are doing great Esme. Give me one more good push and we will have the other one out." He says.

Esme gives another push and Bella is looking like she might faint. This baby comes out much faster and it's a baby girl. I do the same for this baby and then hand her over to Esme so that she can hold her. Esme would be crying right now if she could be. Bella ends up fainting and so Carlisle cleans his hands and then goes to her.

"Shes still bleeding on the inside. Something isn't right about this." He says as he picks her up and sets her on his desk.

He takes out another needle and starts to drain the blood from her head again. She starts bleeding from her nose and that's when we start to panic alittle bit.

Carlisle's p.o.v.

Shes bleeding again so something is wrong again. I get enough blood from her that she needs blood going back into her body. Edward gets in and starts getting me everything that I need to work on her. I look back and see Esme getting ready to walk over to us but I shake my head no. She cant be over here for what I'm about to do.

"I need extra blood. Esme this is not going to be pretty but something is wrong and I have to open her up and see what is causing the bleeding. You need to take the babies to their room and I'm sure Rosalie will help you. I need Alice and everyone else in here with me." I say.

Rosalie leads Esme out of the room with the twins and she closes the door behind her. Alice starts to clean up the bed Esme was on so that I can put Bella on it to get this over with. Edward brings all of the monitors over and starts setting them up so that we can hook her up and see what her vitals are doing. Jasper is there to read her emotions for incase anything happens while I'm in the middle of it all. Emmett has to hold her down.

We move her over to the bed and get her hooked up. I quickly put gloves on and grab a scalpel and look to the others.

"Shes going to have a big scar on her face when she wakes up." I say and then start cutting her open.

I cut along her forehead and then after I get passed her eyes I go down with it so that I can pull her face down alittle to see where the bleeding is coming from. Luckily for everyone in the room her blood doesnt smell like our next meal.

As soon as I get her face peeled down I see the problem. She has a knick in an artery and its causing the problem. I quickly fix the artery and then double check to make sure nothing else is bleeding before putting her face back and sewing her up. There is no way to hide the stitches so I try to use as little as possible so that she wont have it as noticeable.

After getting her fixed up we all keep a close eye on her monitors. Esme walks back into the room and sits down besides her and holds her hand.

"Is she going to be alright?" She asks.

"I found a knick in one of her arteries and I fixed it. I hope this keeps her healthy." I say.

She nods her head and then rests her head on the bed looking up at her.

We all leave the room to give her some privacy and we head to the babies room.

Esme's p.o.v.

"Bella they are beautiful. Rosalie loves them and I know that you will too. They are perfect in every possible way and you'll be proud of them. You need to wake up now and you need to be better. You need to be healthy." I say to her.

I feel her hand tighten around mine and I see her opening her eyes.  She looks down to me and smiles.

"I'm already proud of them." She says and then sits up.

Shes alittle woozy at first but she regains her balance. She tugs me to her and then she kisses me softly on the lips before standing up.

"Let's go meet the newest additions to the family. I was thinking that we should name them Rosanne and then Jerald." She says to me.

I smile at her and lead the way to our family.
