Could It Be

Chapter 16

Bella's P.O.V.

"Bella we are vampires." Esme says.

I sit there and just stare at her. They can't be vampires, i have been around them for almost two days now and not once have they tried to suck my blood.

"We are vegetarian vampires which mean that we only drink the blood of animals." Jasper says to me.

I look back to Esme to see that she looks worried. Why is she worried, if anyone should be worried it should be me. I'm in a house full of vampires for crying out loud. I dont like seeing Esme worried, it makes me feel strange.

I look around to everybody and notice that Alice is missing. Suddenly I feel a breeze to my right and see Alice holding out a dry erase board and a marker for me to write with. I take the board and marker from her and she literally zips over to Jasper. She's like super crazy fast but she looks graceful.

I start thinking about everything and I realise that I'm not scared of them. I also realise that I can like Esme now without hiding my feelings from everyone. I pick up the marker and start writing.

Why do you all look so worried. I'm not scared of you guys. If you were going to hurt me I'm sure you would have already done so. Esme I really don't like the worried look on your face so come back over here and sit besides me...unless Do I stink?

I show them all the board and they all chuckle reading my last thought. Esme comes over to me and wraps me in a hug then sits down besides me holding my hand.

"There's more that we would like to say." Esme says.

I nod my head.

"I can read peoples thoughts." Edward says.

"I can see certain things from the future. I call them visions." Alice says.

"I can feel peoples emotions and manipulate them to a certain point." Jasper says.

"I'm stronger than the average vampire." Emmett says.

"I'm better looking than the average vampire." Rosalie says.

"I have excellent control over my thirst for a vampire." Carlisle says.

"And I'm just normal but they disagree and say that I have the most caring heart of a vampire." Esme says.

I agree with them she does and is no where near normal. Shes perfect.

"One more thing to dump on you Bella. Vampires have mates which is our soul mates. Which in human terms is the love of our lives. Jasper and Alice, Rosalie and Emmett, Carlisle and Edward, and lastly you and me. Your my mate Bella." Esme says to me and she looks me in the eye.

I look back at her and smile.

I thought I was crazy because I have feelings towards you. I like you Esme and nlw you have explained why I have. It doesnt bother me Esme I'm happy about it.

Esme reads what I wrote and wraps me in another hug and then kisses me on the cheek. I hug her as tightly as i can to me and then smile and open my mouth to laugh in my own way which is nothing but I just imagine hearing it. She pulls away from me and looks at me with love in her eyes.

"We are so happy for you two. You guys deserve each other." Alice says and giggles.

I smile at her and then I yawn and stretch my body.

"Well thats the cue that Bella is tired so we are going to go lay down and we'll see you all tomorrow morning." Esme says.

She stands up and then holds her hand out to me. I use her hand and thenstand up. She starts leading me out of the living room and towards one of the rooms. I wave to everyone and give them a smile before I'm pulled out of sight.

We make our way upstairs and to her room and then she shuts the door behind us. She pulls me over to her bed and then pulls me down in it. I lay down and she covers me up before laying besides me and smiling at me. I grab my notepad and pen and write.

Do you ever sleep?

"Sadly no we dont Bella. Its alright though because we get alot of things done and never have to worry about eating either. I do sometimes miss it though. Anyway we'll talk more tomorrow your tired and need to get your sleep. Ill be here when you wake up." Esme says to me.

I nod my head and close my eyes. I suddenly feel my body being pulled into something soft and then i instantly melt into sleep.

Esme's P.O.V.

She quickly falls asleep when i pull her into me. Theres a knock on the door and then Jasper pokes his head in.

"I told you she would be okay with it all. Now be happy and enjoy your time with your mate." Jasper says and then leaves the room.

I smile at the door and then look down and watch my mate sleep peacefully against my body. I mean down ans kiss her gently on the head and then lean back and enjoy her warmth.
