Chapter 11

Esme's P.O.V.

Bella wanted me to stay in here until she fell asleep so her dream must have been a nightmare. I feel pretty bad for the girl as it seems she cant catch a break. I was surprised she let me help her with everything so far to tell you the truth. Usually humans dont accept help easily and let alone let some random lady see them naked. I don't mind helping her though.

So here I sit as she tries to fall back to sleep. I state straight ahead and look out the window and into the woods. Sometimes I wish I could sleep again but then I think of how I'd miss that time doing things. Like working on my next house design or watching the animals in the woods.

Suddenly Bella's breathing evens out and shes back to sleep. I'm about to get oug of her bed by it she suddenly throws her bad arm over my lap keeping me where i am. I look down at her and she is indeed asleep. I look at her arm and see that its pretty swollen and turning color. She needs some medicine again and Carlisle needs to check it again to make sure everything is still good.

Alice pokes her head in and smiles at me and at Bella.

"It was a bad dream Esme and she might tell you one day about it. All you have to do now is stay here with her and she'll wake up soon and start getting ready for her day. She'll be alittke embarrassed and apologize for keeping you here with her for a few hours." She says to me.

"So it was a bad one even for you." I say to her.

Alice nods her head, shudders and closes the door.

I look back down at Bella and notice she looks peaceful. I wonder what ill make her for breakfast.

Bella's P.O.V.

I wake up from a dreamless sleep after my nightmare. My arm is wrapped around something soft so I pull the softness closer to me until I feel the softness move. I open my eyes and see that the softness is Esme.

I immediately let go of her and scoot away from her. I look down at my lap and keep my eyes trained there while I grab my notepad and pen.

I'm so sorry Esme. I just fell asleep and i didnt know my body would grab you. You should have woke me up and I would have let you go.

I hand her the notepad and turn on the lamp besides the bed. I start playing with my hands and until she says something.

"Its alright Bella no need to feel bad. I must admit I fell asleep after you did it. I didnt want to wake you up because you didn't sleep good earlier. So no need to worry about it, it didnt bother me." She says. "Its 6 in the morning and i need to go get breakfast made. While I'm doing that Carlisle is waiting for you to go see him so he can check up on your arm and make sure its good."

I nod and she gets up out of bed and exits the room. I get up and use the bathroom then I go down stairs to the living room. Once I enter the living room I see Carlisle already sitting there ready for me. I walk up to him and he smiles up at me and then looks down at my arm.

"It looks like something may have changed during the night because your arm is turning colors but don't worry because it could be just bruising. Lets go up to my office to check it over. Ill have to take the cast off so i can really check it over." He says and leads me to his office or whatever he calls it.

We get in there and he sits me down in a chair and he pulls his chair up to me. He grabs scissors and starts to cut the cast off. I look away after that because I'm not sure how ill handle seeing it and all. I'm not sure if he's doing anything with it because i can't feel a single thing in that arm right now. I hear him sigh to himself and then he turns me to face him.

"Alright so its some bad news but don't worry I can fix it. So I guess while you were sleeping you banged it up pretty bad. Its my fault for putting you in a soft cast so this time ill make it harder. Also its a different color because its bruised and it appears like you may have some elbow issues that I didnt realize when we took the x-rays. Now I'm going to put a harder cast on your arm and then have a support brace on your elbow so that it wont be abke to move at all except for up and down. Does this sound good to you?" He asks as he finishes up.

I nod my head yes and he goes to a cabinet and grabs stuff to make the cast and he brings over the elbow support. He puts the elbkw support on first and then gets to work recasting my arm.

Twenty minutes later I'm all set up for school now all i have to do is get dressed and ill be good. I leave his office and head back to the room I stayed in last night and start putting on the clothes that Esme set out for me the best that i can. I have trouble buttoning and zipping my pants so I leave it undone until i find someone in the house willing to help me out. I got the shirt on alright but i can't get the hoodie on because of my new arm cast so ill need help with it also.

I leave the room grabbing all of my stuff and make my way down to the kitchen. I enter the kitchen and Esme turns around and sees the new cast and then she looks at my appearance and sees that my pants are about to fall off of me and my shoes are in my hand. She walks over to me and buttons and zips the pants for me and then motions for me to sit down. I sit at the seat I was in yesterday and she puts my shoes on for me.

"Carlisle told me whats going on with your arm and the new cast. I knkw your going to want to go to school today but please be careful and if anything happens tell one of my children so that they can bring you here." She says to me.

I nod my head and she stands up and grabs my plate she made and sets it down in front of me. I eat jt quickly and by the time I finish everyone is ready and waiting for me.

I stand up and grab my backpack that is sitting besides me and make my ways to them. As soon as i get there they are all pointing behind me so I cautiously turn around and see Esme holding one of my pills and a glass of water. I walk to her and take the pull and smile at her then make my way back to the others. They say goodbye and i wave to her then we leave exit the house to the cars. I ger in the backseat of the Volvo with Edward, Alice, and the other guy I still dont know the name of.

Its then that i completely realize that I'm going back to a nightmare, school.
